Sam is based in Melbourne (Australia) and will be there to capture all the beautiful, magical, and quirky moments of your special day, no matter how big or small.

After having a disappointing experience with my own wedding photos, I vowed that I would do my utmost to ensure my brides and grooms are well supported throughout the organisation of their wedding, the actual day and that they receive photos that they will be elated by and make the whole experience more memorable. Although the website address is indicative of a New Zealand company, rest assured we are based in Melbourne, Australia.
Clear Light Photography (CLP) was started in New Zealand but after Sam moved across the ditch with her family she started Clear Light Photography Melbourne.
As CLP Melbourne is a new company we are yet to obtain our own website, so in the mean time we are utilising CLP NZ's website to provide access to our images.
CLP NZ is owned and operated by Sam's mum Angela.

We only book one per week, purely because we like to make sure that there are no other distractions on your day. We need our focus to be on you as our client for that weekend/week, to ensure seamless client support and beautiful images.
do i specifically have to tell my photographer what shots i want, or should i trust them
ive read heaps of forums with brides saying their photographer missed the 'dress hanging up shot' etc. to avoid this happening to me, should i be making a list of shots i want for my photographer?

Hi there,
Like most businesses, there are costs involved in running a photography business. Part of the overall cost comes down to how much it costs the photographer to run their business and attend your wedding (print costs, insurance, studio space (if any), travel, equipment, utilities etc) and the other part comes down to the value of their art.
At the end of the day, however, it comes down to your budget, what you like in terms of photographs and how you feel about the photographer as a person.
