A Miss Renee Simone wedding is tailored to your unique personality. She holds a sheer delight for creating slick, relaxed, elegant and super fun celebrations. MRS brings 15 years experience as a Singer, DJ and Event Planner to your special day. After creatively directing entertainment for over 1800 weddings, MRS has got your back!

The band amps up for the live party set to get everyone up and dancing after dinner.

To top it off MRS jumps on the decks for the DJ set that brings it all home! From the classics to dirty house bangers, send your requests or leave it up to Miss Renee, either way you'll be dancing the night away.

Band configurations
Duo is Miss Renee with an accompanying guitarist.
Trio is Miss Renee, guitar, sax and percussion.
4 piece is Miss Renee, guitar, sax, percussion and bass or keyboard.
5 piece (Minimum for Party Band) is Miss Renee, guitar, sax, percussion, bass OR keyboard and drum kit.
6 piece is Miss Renee, guitar, sax, percussion, bass, keyboard and drum kit.
If you're allowed...add the entire brass section and a second vocalist (male) to create up to a 10 piece big band!

Yes of course, we will do a stripped back version for your aisle walk or of yoiu prefer a full band version we can perform it for your first dance
Yes we love to travel, travel expenses are detailed in our info pack
We play at your ceremony, then onto the reception dinner and then MRS does a DJ set to end the night. We supply all background music in between sets
Yes we supply everything you need there are no hidden costs and you can use the MRS vintage mic for speeches (looks great in photos).

Of course not!
You may find though that if the music is well selected people will be swaying in their seats or the oldies might get a up for a little waltz between courses.
Its important to have a good consultation with the person doing your entertainment so they aren’t pushing against the grain to get people dancing.
There’s a fine art to playing background music that has gentle peaks in the right places.

if i go with a dj company how can i guarantee the dj i get is going to be any good?

I would recommend going with an individual DJ so you can check out their website and get a vibe. If possible have a meeting with them and select them in the same way you are selecting the food and your celebrant etc. Its SUCH an important part of the day. The music can make or ruin your wedding. You need to have a connection wih the DJ so youre on the same page. If the company wont let you then Id suggest looking elsewhere. Its definitely not something you want to just hope for the best on.
do i have to provide my dj with a playlist or does he just play his usual wedding song list?

If you pick the right DJ they will know how to rock a mixed age crowd but any wedding DJ with a 'usual song list' would be dated in a few months! There's an art to knowing the people you have infront of you as a DJ and the time of day or mood thats requred for a particular moment. Thats what makes it fun and dynamic.
I like to get a few song requests from the bride and groom before the wedding. I ask for 5 you'd love to hear and 5 you'd hate to hear. From those few songs I can tell what other types of music you would like.
One of my favourite parts of the process is hearing the stories behind why the songs are so special to the couple, often the couple learn things about each other they didnt know. Its a really magical process and it makes playing for them so personalised and meaningful.
So in short, give a few examples of artists or songs but dont be too prescriptive or you'll lose the point of tusting a professional to manage the flow.
