Gareth can provide it all; throughout your ceremony he can perform special requests as you walk down the aisle, sign the registry, and as you exit the ceremony; have him perform for guests as they gather before and after the ceremony; during canapes Gareth will create the perfect musical atmosphere to set the mood; at your wedding reception have Gareth serenade guests during entrees and main meals, then ramp it up for dance music once all the formalities are over.  On request, Gareth will happily learn and perform songs for your first dance, cutting of the cake and tossing of the garter and bouquet.

Gareth can be booked as a soloist, or alongside other musicians as a duo (with drums or violin), trio (with bass and drums), or quartet (with bass, drums and violin) or quintet (Supersuit). Gareth's music is 100% live, with no backing tracks or pre-recorded music needed. Gareth uses live looping to add dynamics to his performances and fill dance floors when needed!

Jareth sung for us and his music was brilliant! We loved his music, he was highly recommended as well and knew what he was doing.

Gareth came to my wedding and sung for me - the whole day! He has the most amazing voice - exactly what I was looking so long for! And then found! Gareth knows a huge range of songs - it was very easy to flick through his PDF list and choose what I wanted him to sing throughout the day. I also asked Gareth if he could learn 2 new songs which were not on his list - and he did - and he performed them to perfection. Gareth provided my wedding with an atmosphere that could not have otherwise been created. I am so happy that he was there for my wedding. I would not hesitate to recommend Gareth to anyone. https://www.garethhudsonmusic.com/

Gareth and his band are amazing! We had Gareth solo for our ceremony and then the three piece band for our reception. So many of our guests complimented on the music. Everyone was up dancing and that was a big thing for us- we couldn’t be happier! We could not have asked for anything more in a band!

Which goes first, the first dance or Father/Daughter dance? Thanks!

The Hunter Valley Wedding Singer

It works well to have your first dance happen when you want the dancing to start - traditionally the bride and groom first.  The start of the second dance set is a nice time to have the father and daughter dance, as it also brings everyone together again, ready to boogie for the second set!

What's the best way to choose my wedding music?

I'm not sure how to go about choosing my wedding music. Do you have any advice for curating the soundtrack?

The Hunter Valley Wedding Singer

First find an artist that has the right sound and vibe - that instantly draws you to their sound - then make sure they can cater to all your guests! It's important that everyone in the room is having a great night!! I find at most weddings I play the age ranges from very young to old - so you've got to make sure your musician has everybody covered - a wide ranging repertoire list. Also, try and see as many bands/artists live.
