About

I am the singer and bandleader. I am also a multi-instrumentalist. I play trombone, trumpet, ukulele, guitar & harmonica. I am also a highly capable DJ. You communicate directly with me. I'll be the one at your wedding, leading the band and making sure your guests have the most memorable experience they've ever had at a wedding.

FAQ

What time will the band arrive to set up?

We will arrive one hour before our starting time to set up.
Setting up generally take 30 minutes, then we have 30 minutes up our sleeve to relax prior to starting
We do NOT do sound checks.

Can you learn a song for out bridal dance?

We can learn a maximum of one song
Learning specific songs is very time consuming, that why we limit this to only one song
Please note that you will get our version of that song
The song will (more than likely) end up sounding quite different to the original
If you are practising dance steps to a particular song, you will be better off using a recording of the original version of the song. I can play this for you (nice & loud) through my PA

Can I request songs?

Can I, or one of my guests, sing a song with the band?

Most definitely
It's best to pre-arrange this, so we can make sure we play the song in the best possible key for the singer.

He was fantastic! Every song we asked was played and he took requests on the night form our guests. All our guests couldn't believe that he could just play any song! We were so grateful to have them play on our wedding. They were so excited to play for us!

Slide and his band were the most amazing live event band I have seen (not saying that because it was my own wedding). There was very little in the way of planning as he just got everything done! Slide and the band even learnt new songs just for us!!!! Everything was done without a hitch. He is very easy to communicate with and always responds professionally and promptly. The dance floor was full and everyone was smiling. People that don't normally dance were dancing - that says it all.
