Polysonic's mission is to bring an incredible dance party to your wedding celebration. We want your friends and family to rave for months and years about how fantastic the band was at your wedding, and how much fun everyone had.
We also pride ourselves on providing value for money. Our DJ band format allows us to showcase our vocal and instrumental talents while keeping costs down. There are other DJ bands, but Polysonic is unique in terms of the care and love put into crafting every single one of the songs on our repertoire. Our performances are the result of thousands of hours of work behind the scenes.

We perform highly interactive, full sounding live shows, and we provide lighting and a state-of-the-art PA system. Combined, this means that we provide incredible value for money.
Brad, the founder and band leader, has nearly a decade of experience in some of Australia's top cover bands, playing at corporate events and weddings. Polysonic has played more than a dozen weddings and functions at venues like Crown Aviary, Tatra, Rippon Lea, The Refectory at Werribee Mansion and Cressy Aerodrome.
We perform at weddings, private parties, corporate functions, fundraisers and public venues across Victoria. No matter the event, Polysonic is ready to take your party to the next level!
Polysonic is a high energy 3-piece band-DJ hybrid. At this stage, we don't take requests to add extra musicians to the lineup, but the DJ element of our band gives us enormous flexibility with our sound.
For weddings, we will be there for the duration of the reception. Our live performance time can range from 90 minutes to 2 hours. We use our DJ equipment to provide background music throughout the rest of the evening.
Yes, if requested, Cassidy can play harp during your wedding ceremony.
Yes, we provide a DJ service during meals, breaks and after the band finishes. This is included in our price.
We take minimal breaks. Our breaks are short enough to give the guests time to refresh, get a drink and get back to the dance floor. We encourage taking advantage of our breaks by scheduling toasts, cake cutting or family photographs.
Yes, we are fully insured.
Our rate for wedding receptions in 2022 is $900. Depending on location, there may be a slight additional travel charge. We're aiming to provide unrivalled value for money.

Struggling to know who should be giving a speech and what each speech should contain so we are not all repeating each other. ??

Hi there, sorry about the delay!
That's a huge question, and definitely an aspect of the reception that can be daunting. I've seen this work really well:
1) The MC welcomes the bridal party at the start of the reception
2) After dinner, the parents make a speech (traditionally it's the father of the bride)
3) Followed by the best man
4) Followed by the newlyweds.
This works nicely because the newlyweds' speech will run smoothly into the first dance.
Regarding the contents of the speeches:
- The parents might talk about their son or daughter and how they saw the newlyweds' relationship develop.
- The best man would compliment the bride and bridesmaids, talk about the groom, then propose a toast.
- The newlyweds might say something heartfelt about each other and their parents, then thank the guests for their presence, particularly if people have travelled long distances.
Personally, I'd try to keep the speeches reasonably short. For some people, brevity is just what they're after when speaking in front of an audience. Others can waffle a bit! Work out who you'd like to speak, how much time you have for speeches (or want to devote to speeches), and divide that among your speakers. Give people definite time limits, though.
