Detour is a Hobart based rock & dance cover band, that enjoys nothing more than filling dance floors!

Detour is a Hobart based rock & dance cover band, that enjoys nothing more than filling dance floors! Since 2005 we’ve been honing our craft, to produce a professional and vibrant rock band sound.

With 150 gigs under our belt (so far!), we’re no strangers to the live music scene, and enjoy putting on an engaging show for audiences.

If you’re looking for a band to play your wedding, work party, school formal or ball, we’d like to be a part of it and help take the stress out of organising the live music!

Detour were so much fun! Lovely to deal with, answered all queries quickly but also relaxed and didn’t really require much on our part! They do an amazing job reading the room to choose the right songs and the right time to get everyone on the dance floor. They will have the oldies and younger crowd happy.

Detour were great. There wasn't enough space on the dancefloor! They do just the right combination of old and new tracks that appeal to everyone. Highly recommended.
