Classically trained, and alternate rock-informed, Clare Brassil often performs as her moniker, Cello Riot, sharing her cello with an amplifier, a loop pedal, and effects.
Trained in the rigid discipline of art music, with help from such great cellists as Gaorg Pedersen, Nathan Waks, Madame Tortelier, David Strange, Michael Goldschlagger, and Rod McGrath, she has played with the Sydney, Melbourne, Western Australian and Tasmanian Symphony Orchestras, and the Australian Opera and Ballet Orchestra.
She brought her artistry back home with her, creating the Riverina Chamber Orchestra, founding multi-arts portal Ifinc, performing chamber music with musicians from the Riverina Conservatorium of Music, and creating music of her own as Cello Riot.

Clare is creative, inventive and passionate about great music. She has played with every professional orchestra in Australia and received numerous awards for conducting, composing, and cello-playing. She loves collaborating with singers, pianists and other strings to create bespoke wedding music for her clients.
