FAQ
Yes! Sometimes the role of MC is too big a burden for a friend or a guest. Our style is simple and sweet - basic annoucments to keep things moving, welcoming guests into the room or onto the dancefloor, and introducing your guest speakers. Behind the scenes, we are co-ordinating with the venue and the kitchen staff to make sure the timing of everything fits with your plan, and co-ordinating with the photographer/videoographer for your special moments.
Yes! We love to play music for your whole day - our soloist can provide backgroun music as your guests settle for the ceremony, and perform your specially requested music for walking down the aisle, signing the registry and for the celebratory exit. After that, we'll greet your guests into the canapes area with some live background music (solo or duo) and we are able to take requests, make any necesarry anoucements and keep that atmosphere bubbling as the newly wedded couple has their photos taken. As the guests move into the reception area, the live band or DJ wil be ready to go for the dinner music. We'll have a mic ready for your MC and work with them to transition the formalities seamlessly.
Phat Sauce provides a professional A/V system complete with PA for a live band, a playlist (or your playlist of choice) wireless microphone for your MC and speeches, and an LED wash for the performance space. Optional add-ons include a smoke machine and basic dancefloor lights. Phat Sauce will provide a clean, simple setup that looks good in any space.
Phat Sauce plays music from all styles and can accommodate all your music playlists. We can put together a playlist for you or work with you to create something more personalised for your special day including suggestions for your first dance or learning a new song if you have something specific in mind.
Yes! We've thoughtfully designed our set-up to be as wedding-friendly as possible. For smaller spaces, we compact right in, and keep the sound warm and gentle during dinner, not interering with any chatting, but creating a relaxing and groovy atmosphere for guests to eat, mingle and catch-up. When it's time to hit the dancefloor, you can bet we'll be playing your favourite dancefloor hits - no matter the size of the band or room!
Yes! Wedding music is our area of expertise, and we know the broad cross section at most weddings. Being music lovers ourselves (of course!) we pick the most timeless songs from each era - constantly reading the room and adjusting our setlist to cater to particular tastes and requests. During our initial meetings, we'll work with the couple to make sure it's their favourite music that takes priority though!

What a great wedding! We absolutely loved getting to play a part in your special day and it was so fun playing your requests, especially some pop-punk genre, it's not often requested at weddings! Your guests were lovely and the whole time we played, Canapés and Reception, were filled with people grooving along, dancing and having a great time.
