I firmly believe a private DJ makes a world of difference compared to hiring from a DJ company. A private DJ personally interacts with his or her clients from the very first email to the end of the wedding night and beyond! That personalised touch is vital to ensure that your wedding night runs exactly how you want it to run. Don't get passed around the office at a large DJ company, choose a private DJ and you will certainly be happy!

My first priority is to play what YOU want to hear! I always liaise closely with couples regarding the music on the night, and I always like to meet with them once well in advance of the wedding to discuss music options. 

If the music selection is left entirely to me, I usually follow this rough outline:

- background music during canapes/dinner

- motown

- disco and 70's

- 80's into 90's

- modern pop music

- Finish with singalong classics such as "Horses" etc.

Of course this is a rough outline and I'm always paying attention to what the guests want at any given time. Requests are welcome!

I provide two top of the range PA's which are more than capable of satisfying a dancefloor of several hundred people. I also provides dancefloor lights and a wireless microphone for speeches. All of this is included in the fee, so you don't have to worry about any nasty surprises!

Having DJ'd many many weddings, as well as corporate functions, I'm quite used to a wide age range. I studied music at university and have over 10 years of experience playing music to crowds all over the world, so I am used to dealing with diverse interests. 

In my experience, playing motown and disco music earlier on in the evening satisifes both young and old and gets everyone up on the dancefloor! 

Definitely. I always set up a meeting with couples (assuming they want to) to discuss what kind of music they like, what songs they might want at specific times (e.g. first dance etc.) and any other finer details of their wedding night. This allows me to get to know them and their music tastes, and them to get to know me.
