What if we wanted a female singer or a band?

No problems. Toby has worked with a number of extremely talented musicians who gig with him at weddings all over Australia.

We were hoping to have a string trio/quartet at our wedding. Is this something you can do?

Absolutely. Toby performs many weddings with his string group. You could have a string duo, string trio or a string quartet. Whatever you like :)

Are we able to have any combination of instrument throughout our day?

Yes of course! You may decide you'd like guitar and singing for the ceremony and then DJ with sax and electric violin for the reception. It's your day so it's your choice :)

He was fabulous! All the guests loved him and he was so lovely! His wife Rachel was also there doing the videography on the day, and looking back I couldn't imagine the day without them!

Toby did an awesome job on our wedding day. Prior to the day he helped us with some great suggestions for ceremony and reception songs. On the day itself, he was punctual, organised and played some beautiful music, creating a special atmosphere. I have no hesitation in recommending his services for any couples planning their big day.

TobyJ was a pleasure to deal with, and he gained our trust completely before the wedding. It's clear that he has been doing this sort of thing for quite a while now, and we were able to give him a short list of songs we wanted for the main parts, and let him fill in the rest. He is a one stop shop being able to play numerous instruments, DJ and also do both (DJ and Sax/Violin). He is very professional and he communicated with the venue and were able to leave him do his thing during our special day. We would recommend Toby to anyone, and make sure you ask him about his wife who's a wedding videographer, allowing you to check off two suppliers at once!

Does it matter if I'm not having dancing at my wedding?

I don't have a dance floor and my wedding is during the day :)

Absolutely not ... it's your day so you should do whatever you like :)

A wedding with tasteful background music throughout the afternoon/evening is just as great ... it all depends on what sort of vibe you are after for your wedding.

I'm actually planning my own wedding now as well, and my fiance and I won't be having any dancing :)

if i go with a dj company how can i guarantee the dj i get is going to be any good?

I would suggest that you either ask the company to put you in direct contact with the DJ so you can chat to them personally or perhaps go with an individual person rather than a bigger booking company.

Everyone has different musical tastes. If you can speak directly with the DJ you can ask for suggestions and tell him/her what you like and work together the build the most ideal playlist for your wedding :)
