Brisbane based guitarist and singer, Majelen, is fast becoming one of Qld’s premier and ground-breaking artists in the indie/folk music scene perfect for your big day!
MAJELEN'S PROFESSIONAL BIOGRAPHY:
A unique percussive guitar style featuring rhythms inspired from years of backpacking with her signature Maton guitar, Majelen’s music has been labelled “writing genius” - John Gould (guitarist - Essie Thomas Band, etc), and a “beautiful inspiration” - Chris Craig (music fan).
The combination of ground-breaking technical fluency and speed, thought provoking lyrics, improvised melodies and captivating stage presence continuously inspire audiences around the globe. Since completing her studies in Jazz Guitar under the guidance of internationally renowned guitarist James Sherlock, she has spent the last few years travelling the world, performing, and writing the framework for her debut recordings.
Throughout her career so far, Majelen has been fortunate to have the opportunity to perform alongside some of Australia’s most accomplished musicians including James Morrison, Kristin Berardi, Gus Cereijo, Elly Hoyt, Katie Noonan and Emma Dean, to name a few. She was also also honoured by being selected to perform as the guitarist in the 2018 Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony.
After releasing her first two singles “Me and You” and “Angels in the Dark” in 2018, followed with another three in early 2019, Majelen will be spending some time performing and recording in the UK, before returning to Australia in 2019 with a national tour, following the release on her upcoming EP "The Light".
This EP features music strongly influenced by jazz and blues, as well as the many nations and cultures around the world that she has seen, experienced and grown to love over the past few years.
Majelen is known for her unique and percussive acoustic guitar style and inspirational vocals, which both excite and inspire.

G'day! I'm Majelen - a country girl at heart who loves nature and this wonderful country that we live in! When I am not playing music I enjoy spending time with my partner Abbie on the property we live in on the sunshine coast. We train horses using natural horsemanship and work with the three border collies that share our place. I started performing at weddings after being asked to play at a couple and realised how incredibly rewarding it is to share in these precious moments! xx

Yes, I have all my own gear and will easily set up everything I need on the day - leaving you with nothing extra to organise!
I perform a combination of both my original percussive acoustic guitar music, plus covers of popular songs as well.
Yes absolutely!
I would love to be able to perform the songs that highlight particular moments in your relationship!
I do charge a little extra per song to cover my time learning the song and making sure it is perfect for your special day.
Yes I do.
At the time of booking I request a 15% deposit which is forfeited upon cancellation.
I also charge full payment if cancellation is not made up to 12 hours before the booking time.
