You may want an acoustic singer for your ceremony and a DJ to play your reception. Maybe you’d prefer an acoustic duo to play during your reception dinner before a DJ opens the dancefloor. We can do it all.
All our packages include a professional sound system, dynamic event lighting and a wireless microphone for your MC and speeches.
DJ Dan works closely with you so your reception is exactly how you imagine it - whether that’s a formal evening with all the traditional formalities, or a relaxed night with more of a focus on the party and the guests. DJ Dan will ask you about special songs to include for your first dance, reception entrance, and father-daughter dance, and can even craft custom mixes if you have a surprise planned for your guests.

Many couples are getting married for the first time or haven't been to a wedding in a few years. You might not know exactly what you want for every aspect of the wedding. DJ Dan will help during the planning stage by providing suggestions on what he's seen work at previous weddings.
True story, a recent client had eight guests giving speeches but didn't want it to take too long, so they asked for help. DJ Dan suggested giving the first few speeches after entree, then the last few after mains. This helped break up the proceedings and keep the guests engaged, and most importantly, the guests were given more opportunities to fill their drinks and empty their bladders.

Yes, if you want me to. Some couples prefer to plan their music ahead of time, others are happy for DJ Dan to take requests from the crowd.
Of course if there are certain songs you don't want to hear, we will make sure those requests are not played :)
Yes it can be changed on the spot!
DJ Dan can very quickly change the vibe if requested. Everything is flexible, and if you want to hear your favourite song right now, let's play it!
Absolutely!
In fact, DJ Dan wouldn't want to walk in to a wedding without meeting you first. Generally DJ Dan will meet with you twice. Once initially to give you some basic info, get some ideas on how you want your day to go and give you a list of formalities to choose songs for.
The second meeting is a week or two prior to the wedding where we finalise the plans, the runsheet, the song requests and all the little details.
These meetings can be in person or on zoom.
Yes. DJ Dan can give them a wireless mic to use, then we can arrange a backing track for them.
This can be for any special moments such as the entrance, first dance, cake cutting etc..
Late night karaoke from random guests is not encouraged as much :)

My partner and I are wondering what happens if our wedding DJ gets sick and can't make it to our reception? Do they plan for this sort of thing? Do we need to prepare an emergency playlist or something with our venue? Thanks.
Is it OK to have a do-not-play list at our wedding?
Hi there. There are some songs I really don't want played at our wedding but I know some of my family will request it. Can I give our DJ a list of these songs - but how do they handle it with the guests? I don't want to offend anyone.

Great question!
The answer is yes - it's very important entertainers avoid playing that song that would ruin your night.
Everyone's taste is different. We often find half our clients can't wait to do the nutbush or the macarena with their family and friends, but the other half can't stand the thought of it.
There might be a song from a funeral you wouldn't want to hear, or you might just cringe every time you hear Horses in a pub while everyone else is belting out the words.
It's your wedding and we help to personalise it to your look, sound and feel.
How do we handle it?
Our DJs are trained to handle that request as respectfully as possible. Rather than saying "the bride doesn't want to hear that", then the guest running straight to you. We say "sorry, we don't have that track".
Most of the time that's where the conversation finishes. Occasionally a guest can't believe don't have the Nutbush but we would prefer the guest be unhappy with us, rather than running to you and hassling you to give us permission to play it.
What are some great first dance songs?
