When do you send out invitations? How far in advance should RSVPS be?

Hi Rachel, generally invites are sent out two months prior to the wedding date. If it is a destination wedding or have guests traveling then it is advised to give them more notice.

RSVP's should be requested one moth prior to the wedding, having said that is will also depend on when the venue requires final numbers.

When should you send out save the dates ?

Our wedding is 2.5 hours from where we and most of our guests live , and is in the school holidays ... I don't want to give too much notice , but I also don't want to give them too little notice When everyone eill have to travel and book accommodation.

Hi Sarah,

If the guests are all in Australia then 8-12 months is recommended. Don't send them any earlier than one year as flights and accommodation can't be booked. If you have overseas guests or the wedding is overseas then 18 months is recommended, this gives guests plenty of time to save up, arrange passports/ visas and book in holiday time with work.
