FAQ

How long does the makeup take?

I recommend allowing a minimum of 1-1.5 hour for all makeup applications. I always allow 1.5 hours for the bride to enjoy the process and have a giggle.

How much time do you need to finish before the ceremony?

I like to have my brides completely ready when the photographers and videographers arrive so they can get into pre shots. It makes the morning flow and keeps everyone relaxed and present, especially when working on a timeline.

What luxury cruelty-free makeup brands do you use?

My preferred choice is always to use only high quality cruelty-free/clean brands; Ellis Faas, Chantecaille, Hourglass, Becca, Natasha Denona, KOSAS, Bare Minerals, to name a few.

I chose Darcie for my bridal makeup over a year ago. With 3 postponements due to covid and floods, Darcie has joined me on this crazy ride. Throughout that time, Darcie has been so forthcoming, accommodating, and always communicating with me. When we finally had our day, Darcies calming nature and expertise was second to none. The finished look was so beautiful, and was exactly what we had asked for. We had so many comments on how gorgeous the makeup was. My bridesmaid even went to sleep with it on, and woke up with it still on! Not a lash out of place! Cannot reccomend Darcie more, she was a pleasure to work with.

I booked Darcie do the wedding makeup for myself, my bridal party and my mum. She has such amazing talent for makeup which lasted all day and all night, through dancing, photos and the light rain conditions. Amazing experience with Darcie!
