Flawless Hair & Makeup

Given the busy nature of Melbourne’s wedding season, if your wedding falls in the peak months of October, November, March and April; I would suggest booking your hair and makeup artist as soon as you can.  I find that I am receiving bookings for these months up to 12-18 months in advance.

I offer a completely mobile service and I travel anywhere across  the Melbourne metropolitan region, Yarra Valley, Mornington Peninsula, Geelong, country Victoria and the Dandenong Ranges.

When I started as a makeup artist in 2002 there was only MAC who offered professional products that were long lasting and had strong pigments, so most of my kit contains MAC.  With the arrival of Sephora and Mecca Comsetica there are many more excellent long wearing and highly pigmented products available. 

Being part of the Pro-Artist program at MAC for years also means I have access to a broad range of their professional products and I receive on-going training with their senior artists.

I would recommend a trial for at least the bride. I always conduct my trials during the daylight hours for optimum application and so that you  can see the results of the makeup with natural light.  This is also when your photographer will be taking the majority of your photos.  I also ask that my brides get taken out that evening as even the most natural makeup looks completely different in the softer evening light.

Hair trials are also important and I would suggest having a hair trial when you have an idea about how your veil and hair accessories will look.  If you don’t have your accessories at the time of the trial, I always stock a variety of hair clips and accessories to show my brides some of the options they have when they are shopping for their own.

Loose fitting tops are always good, even a buttoned shirt so that you don’t pull tight fitting tops over your hair.
