Amy is highly qualified with a Diploma of Specialist Makeup Services. She began her career with editorial work, having been published in print many times. After building a strong portfolio she delved into the world of retail makeup, working for brands such as MECCA and Benefit. She gained international experience after travelling the world with Klara Cosmetics as Head of Education. Amy continued her love for training by holding her first Masterclass for the everyday woman here in Melbourne!

Airbrush makeup is liquid foundation that is applied to your face through an airbrush compressor. It is almost like a tiny spray tan machine, when applied you will feel a light spray of air to the face.
The specific formula of the liquid that is used for airbrushing is extremely thin, meaning multiple layers can be applied for light-full coverage without ever looking cakey. The silicone formula mimics skin and can last up to 15 hours, perfect for a long wedding day. It is sweat-proof, tear-proof and smudge-proof! Airbrushing is the most flawless and durable option for your wedding day.
After many years of perfecting my kit, I only use high end professional products that I know will look perfect.

Any advice on if I should get eyelash extensions before the wedding?

From my experience I would not recommend it for a few reasons:
- If you're unhappy they cannot be removed
- The look of the lashes often doesn't suit the makeup choice
- They cannot be customised like strip lashes can be (ie. fluffy, longer at the sides, wispy etc.)
- The lashes often start to look messy and worn after a few days
Around 90% of the clients that come to me with lash extensions ask for me to glue stip lashes on top as they arent happy with the extensions. Very rarely in my career have I ever seen lash extensions that look better than stip or individual false lashes.
if i have a makeup trial with a company, am i assured ill get the same artist for my wedding?

Unfortunatley, no.
The first priority of companies that provide makeup services in a retail environment is to make money. You are welcome to request that you have that same artist, however, a request is just that. Most of the time you will not get that same artist. The risk is not something I would suggest taking for such a special occasion.
If it is a makeup service company with multiple artists, this is probably more likely.
I would suggest to have a trial with a professional artist who can guarantee they will be doing your makeup on the wedding day. xx

My advice for those in a regional area where there are not many hair/makeup artists is to book someone who can travel to you. This cost might be higher than anticipated but you can be assured that your hair and makeup will look exactly how you want it to. These are memories that a bride will remember for the rest of her life!
