Charlotte did make up for myself and my relatives and throughout the trial and on the day she was calm, relaxed and super easy to get along with. Charlotte did our make up beautifully, it looked very natural and it didn't require any touch ups throughout the whole day! Fantastic!

how do i make sure my makeup looks good all day?

I've seen wedding photos where the bride's makeup ends up looking terrible by the night time. how do I avoid this? I'm hoping to have a photoshoot during the night so I don't want my makeup to look awful... should I get my makeup artist to come back at night, or should I do my own touch ups?

Hi Roxanne,

To ensure your makeup looks great all day there are a few tricks. Your artist should prep your skin according to your skin-tone at the start of the day. If you're oily then a mattifying primer should be used, as well as a setting powder and mattifying spray if needed. If you're more of a dry skintype, then it's best to use a primer and foundation that won't be absorbed into your skin and feel uncomfortable. You can use blotting papers and your chosen lipstick for touch ups during the day and into night. Some artist (myself included) provide a touch-up service for their brides so you can look your best before your photoshoot and/or reception.
