I have found over the years that airbrush makeup does not suit all ages and skin types and takes a very special skillset to apply. I stick with traditional makeup techniques using the highest quality mineral foundations on the market, this way my application looks flawless no matter the age, skin type, or skin tone. There are limited foundations suitable for airbrush makeup and I prefer to use products that are safe for even the most sensitive skin. Not to mention, if anything were to happen with airbrush makeup needing a touchup, it is not easy to match the texture, where traditional makeup can be touched up easily if needed.

I recommend to not doing anything too out of the ordinary with your skin close to the wedding day! If you have a more oily skin type, doing a clay mask a week or two prior can help with clarifying the skin, but don't forget to moisturize daily with a water-based moisturizer! For dry skin, you can try a more hydrating mask a week prior to the wedding. Just clean, fresh, hydrated skin is all I need to give you a flawless look.

As for hair, I strongly recommend freshly washed, fully dry hair for the morning of the wedding. Clean hair works best for styling as I can add the products needed to create the look you desire. It is best to let your hair air dry if you have time, or even just blowdry it ensuring your part is in the right place for the style you want.

If you plan to have a spray tan, brow or face waxing, or lash extensions and it's not something you normally do, make sure you test it out at least a month before your wedding to see how your skin reacts and if you like the look :)

When it comes to your makeup, I can guarantee it will last all day and night for you! I make sure to prepare your skin using quality skin care, primers, and amazing mineral foundations which provide a flawless coverage and photograph beautifully. I also provide all my bridal parties with complimentary touchup kits which gives you a little bit of lipstick and touchup powder which we all sometimes need with the Queensland humidity! I have actually had clients wear their makeup overnight (which I wouldn't necessarily recommend!) and they were amazed at how well it stayed on even the next day.

As for hairstyling, depending on the length, thickness, and texture of the hair, as well as the weather, downstyles do tend to soften and drop throughout the day which most brides tend to like as it gives a softer appearance. Upstyles should stay put all day and night so you can dance your heart out! But keeping in mind the weather and your hair type, we will usually give you advice on the day of the wedding on how your hairstyle will last.
