Skin can be so stressful for some people. Skin breakouts, skin irritations, fine lines and texture can all be issues we want immediate fixers on. Skin complaints can be cause by many factors i.e stress, food and alcohol, hormones, lack of sleep etc etc.

My advice is instead of buying a heap of products and masks, see a skin specialists and treat yourself to a facial or two. I recommend no treatments a week before the wedding day incase a reaction occurs.

Increase your water intake and always remember makeup can camouflage any imperfections quickly however to resolve the issue it will take longer.

False / Faux Lashes, come in either strip and / or individual with a huge variety on length or thickness are all lash products that require a type of glue to your natural lashes.

These are ideally disposable and are used for the day only and can be removed at the end of the day.

Some high quality lashes can be cleaned, stored in the lash case and reused / reapplied.

Some people find them difficult to apply themselves, applicators are available to help with the process or if that isnt your thing, treat them as disposable.

Tinting and perming are solutions you can apply to your natural lashes for a lift and darkening of colour. These products fade and your natural lashes will return to how they where before the treatment.

If you havent had this treatment before, I recommend doing a patch test for allergies.

Semi permanent lashes require a trained technician to apply using a strong adhesive which is designed to last anywhere between 2-5 weeks before a refill is needed, As the natual lashes renew the old lashes fall out and can leave gaps so maintenance is imperative.

You may consider getting this treatment if you want no fuss lashes for the wedding, day after and want your lashes to carry on with the marital bliss party.

Please do your research, read reviews and discuss with your lash technician the style you want to achieve ie natural, dramatic or somewhere in between and the material used, synthetic, human or animal fibres.

A trial is preferrable for most people getting married as they need to visually experience their hair and makeup or makeup look before the big day.

A makeup trial and Hair trial can be done at different times depending on what is suitable for you and your stylist.

Things to consider:

Is there a period of down time in your schedule? 

Can you schedule a time where you are "relaxed" and able to use the time allocated for YOU as a pampering experience?

Do you have an event on prior to your wedding where you could use a professional service such as makeup or hair styling?

Are you planning on changing your hair or makeup on the day after the trial? i.e. a dramatic colour, cut, tan etc

A couple of months prior to the wedding is probably the least amount of time I would suggest, it is however an excellent idea to communicate regularly with your stylist. 

This allows you to send images of inspiration to one another and give feedback if this will work on the day to achieve your desired look.
