Hello! My name is Michelle and I am the owner of Empire Bridal. I opened my boutique 12 months ago and let me tell you it has been so much fun! I absolutely love helping women find the dress of their dreams and I am fully committed to offering you a unique bridal experience, specifically tailored with you in mind to help you find the gown of your dreams. After all, it is one of the most important purchases you are most likely to make and probably have been dreaming about for a very long time.

Whether you know what you want or unsure, I take great care to ensure your experience is personalised, fun, easy and enjoyable.

To ensure we can cater to a variety of budgets, our bridal gowns start at $1,500, although most of our collection is priced between $2,000 - $2,500. We also offer exclusive bridesmaid packages so you can complete the bridal party with ease.

The boutique is located in Beaconsfield (just 5 mins from Berwick) and there is plenty of parking at the rear of the store.

So in love with my dress! The store was great, worked within my budget and the ladies were amazing. The also had a great range of accessories and bridesmaids dresses too! They were so accommodating and was great to have one on one consultation making me feel all the more special when finding my perfect dress!

Emma was so amazing to deal with for my wedding dress. I had a different style in mind, but upon trying it on, it really did not suit me. I saw a dress in Empire Bridal, and was not sure - it is a style I would never go for - however, Emma told me to just try it on and I am so glad I did. It was simple and a straight fit - but was so elegant! It turned out to be the perfect dress for me. It was so beautifully created and Emma chose a veil that was just divine and suited the dress. I would never have found my perfect, simple but elegant dress if it was not for them and their help at the store. I came back numerous times for fittings, and they were so accommodating... Highly recommend when looking for a perfect dress.

They were epic! I went and saw them the weekend after I got engaged and fell in love with the 5th dress! I came back 2 years after to get it, and the day I got it was the day the designer stopped making it! Sarah was so apologetic about it, and said she would price match any dress for me, and when I found another dress for 1000 she price matched it down to 500! She definitely didn't have to do that, but she was just so kind and helped out the process so much.

How many fittings are normally required?

Just curious as to how many fittings are normally required when choosing a wedding dress.

This honestly comes down to how well your correct size fits you and whether you want any slight design elements changed to the gown. We have had brides in, where a size 12 for example, has fit them perfectly and all they need altered is the hem! Other brides, want to change necklines, add sleeves or want the gown to be more fitted for example, therefore you could have up to 3 or 4 fittings to alter the gown and to have it fitting perfectly, exactly the way you want it. This is why we recommend a minimum of 6 months to order a gown in, so we have time to get the gown fitted correctly and to your liking.

What style of gown will best suit my figure?

I know there are various different styles of wedding gowns, so what will be suit my figure?

Empire Bridal

This depends on a few different elements. How tall or short are you? Do you have a pear shape figure, hourglass figure or something in between? There is not one style of gown that fits all, which is why at Empire Bridal, we have a selection of wedding gowns that cater to all different shapes and sizes. We take the time to discuss with you what look you are wanting to achieve and then give advice on which styles will not only fit in with your dream but what works for your figure as well. Our gowns can be ordered in up to a size 30 and most of our designs can be customised.

When should I start shopping for a wedding dress?

At Empire Bridal we recommend brides start looking 12 months prior to your wedding date. This gives you time to visit our boutique and try on different gowns in various shapes so you can work out which look you love the best! We sell 'Ready to Wear' gowns and what this means is, you come in to the boutique, choose which dress you love and then we order the gown in, in your correct size. Therefore we advise you to make your final decision and order no less than 6 months prior to your wedding date. We need this time to order the gown in and put you through the fitting process. If you have less than 6 months to organise a gown, you may be lucky and find a sample gown that fits you off the rack, so you can take it home the same day or sometimes we are able to complete a rush order, but keep in mind there are additional costs to do this.
