The Laid Back Bride founder, Aleena Long, created her bridal boutique with a vision in mind. The hope was that she could create a unique bridal collection that flatters all bodies, but also, that she could provide a comfortable, relaxed and lighthearted shopping experience for all - no judgements, just excitement and the desire to help brides find their perfect dress. As our dresses are made-to-order and created just for you, please allow up to 3-5 months for production and delivery from the date you order. Please also allow 4-6 weeks prior to your wedding for alterations.
If you don't have this timeframe to work with we do sell our sample dresses off the rack (at discounted prices for the budget conscious) from time to time. Keep an eye out for our sample sales or enquire at info@tlbbride.com.
At TLBB size matters to us when it comes to being inclusive, which is why all our designs can be created in US sizes 0-28 (AU 2-30).
As we are a new and small bridal business we currently carry one sample of each design with sizes ranging from US 6-16 (AU 8-18). The sample size has been noted under the description on each dress page for your convenience. As we cannot stock a sample of every dress in every size we still invite you visit us in-studio so that you can see the dresses up close and in person, touch and feel the quality and where possible we will endeavour to give you an idea of what the dress may look like using a few tricks. We look to increase the number of sample sizes as we grow.
Remember, bridal sizing isn’t like typical street wear sizing. While you might be a street size 12 in general clothing, you’re in fact a bridal size 14-16, and if you’re a size 14-16, you’re likely an 18-20. Don’t worry about it–sizing is just a number!

What’s the likelihood that I’ll need alterations for my wedding dress and how much would I be looking at? (Wondering if I should do made to measure instead.)
The Laid Back Bride
All wedding dresses require some alterations to ensure a proper fit. The most common include a hem, bustle, strap adjustment, bust adjustment and taking in the waist. With regards to the price it depends on how much work is involved but you really shouldn't be paying anymore than $500 max for those common alterations I mentioned. Made-to-Measure is a great option for limiting the amount of alterations needed. Remember to allow at least 4-6 weeks before your wedding for alterations to be completed.
