De Silva Lining Events is headed up by our Big Boss Lady, Sam De Silva, who has over 15 years experience in all things weddings. Her love of all things weddings and events stemmed from working in all facets of hospitality, from polishing glasses and dancing the zorba with wedding guests, through to venue management, and hosting wedding expos.

We are a tight knit team, who love anything and everything to do with weddings. We are not florists, musicians, photographers, videographers, or caterers - we are the celebration experts! We collaborate with local and national suppliers, so your tribe for the day, is the most uniquely YOU.

We plan, design, finalise and ensure that you and your guests have a wonderful time for your wedding day. As a team, we believe there is no event too extravagant, or too intimate, to co-ordinate. From elopements, to micro weddings, to 500 guests, our team can tailor a package to suit. We work with you to customise a package that captures the specifics of what you want for your upcoming wedding. De Silva Lining Events' meticulous preparation takes the stress out of planning and executing your big day, allowing you to sparkle in the spotlight

About

Hey! My name is Sam, and I'm the Big Boss Lady of De Silva Lining Events. You'll often see me running around behind the scenes, with a can of energy drink in my hand, big grin on my face, and a big ol' hug for familiar faces. Weddings have long been my passion, and I love what I do, from the late nights, to the early mornings, all to see the delight on my couple's faces. I'd love to hear more about your wedding, over a glass of wine (or two!) and something yummy to nibble! Sam xx

Sam was amazing! We loved her from the first phone call. High energy, and gave us the sense that on the day she would 100% deliver the wedding we wanted. Her experience saved us $$$ on the bar tab, and she took care of ALL the details on the day. I had the most relaxed and fun day knowing Sam was taking care of the ceremony set up, reception set up, timeline of the day, pumping up our guests to get on the dancefloor, music, making sure we had a drink in hand for toasts, and packing up everything for us to go home! It was amazing. Highly recommend Sam, I wouldn't have wanted our wedding without her.

We loved having Sam in our corner for our big day. She took care of the finer details when it mattered. She was super professional, but also has this amazing energy that you need when you are about to walk down the aisle. Communication was excellent, if we were ever worried, we spoke to her and filled us with confidence that she had it handled, so then we could relax and really enjoy our day to the fullest. Thank you Sam, you made our day super special.

Oh my goodness I could not recommend Sam more highly! I feel like, out of our all vendors, she was the one who was reaaaaally there for us. I originally hired her to help with some DIY decor setup (which she absolutely nailed) but she just went above and beyond on the day. She chased up late guests. She got our venue to use nicer chairs. She kept a champagne in my hand. She shooed away people when we were trying to have a private moment as a couple. She got our saxophone player up and moving around tables. She took care of all the little things I didn't even think of, and I am so, so grateful. I would not hesitate in recommending Sam, even if you're not 100% sure what you need her to help with – she will be an invaluable part of your day.

We hired Sam a week before our wedding day after realising that we needed help setting up our venue on our wedding day, which was supposed to happen the day before like originally planned. Sam was so quick to respond and did a fabulous job on the day. Her prices were affordable, and she was able to set our venue up in a short time frame. She was worth every cent! Highly recommend! We wish we booked her sooner!!

We hired Sam about 3 months out from our wedding as a little "extra" stress saver (we thought) to help bring it all together. Having now had Sam as part of our wedding we would consider her service absolutely essential and cannot recommend highly enough! We had selected vendors at this stage but we were struggling to to get the finer details of the day organised. Sam put us at ease, got all of their details and was able to ask all of the questions (including a million we hadn't thought of). On the day she was our MC and helped direct guests for photos, reception time and seatings, and for speeches and dancing. She kept the day fun and upbeat, and afterwards we realised how many things would have been disjoined or confusing without her. If you get the chance, add her to your day! You won't regret it.
