We know that it's the little touches that can make your event stand out and a bit more special.  From cute jars with hessian and lace, to mismatched teacups and cake stands, The Little Things Count has those little extra touches to personalize your special day.  

We specaliaze in rustic accessory hire for weddings, engagement parties, hens, and high teas to name a few.  

The Little Things Count loves the excitement of events, especially the magical feel of weddings and are excited to be able to help couples create a trully unique day.  To take the stress out of the event, we have pre-arranged packages at an affordable price, or can create a personalized order to suit your special event.  All our items are able to be hired for 4 days (possibly even longer depending on other bookings) at no extra cost.

When planning our own wedding, we found it difficult to find rustic decorations for hire at an affordable price. So my husband and I scoured markets and shops for all the little things needed to add an extra touch to our special day. Our collection grew after helping organise and decorate my brothers wedding, and we realised that not only did we enjoy the hunt for cute items, but we loved the excitement of helping to plan a wedding. ~ This led to the creation of The Little Things Count.

FAQ

We know that often items need to be hired for a few days to allow transport/set-up and pack down, so all our items can be hired for up to a week depending on other client bookings at no extra cost.

We are able to deliver and/or pick up items within metropolitan Melbourne at a cost of $1.50 per km from Fitzroy North. Otherwise we are happy to arrange a time for you to pick up/drop off your items from our base at Fitzroy North.

Yes, we require a 20% deposit to be payed upon booking to secure the items.  This is also used as a bond and will be fully refunded when items are returned in good condition.

We hired cake stands, lolly jars and teacups from Beth for my daughter in law's hens party, and then used her again because it was so easy for my daughter's baby shower! Beth was so flexible with pick up and drop off, and her prices were extremely reasonable. Thanks for all your help on both occasions! We loved all the items we hired and would highly recommend you.

What wedding decorations do I need?

What are the main decorations you should always include for your wedding?

The Little Things Count

It is completely dependant on your style and theme - you may be more minimilistic and go for simple flowers in mason jars, or you may want elaborate flower arches and and large illuminated signs.  Either way - you just want to make sure that you and your partner love the decorations - don't worry about everyone else.  

There are a few things that will make the day a little easier - signs for where the ceremony / reception will take place, a sign or blackboard with the day and evenings events, vases or jars for flowers, some photo frames to have a few cute pictures of the couple, extra table decorations for other areas (such as the cake table. bar and signing table), and some blankets if your guests are going to be outdoors for any length of time.

The list is endless - just go for things that you both love :)
