At Kraut N' About it's our mission to make people happy with fantastic food in a fun environment!
Based on Brisbane's north side, our food truck and marquee can be found serving up at craft breweries, food truck carnivals, community events, street side, and private functions. Our emerging wedding catering business has been met with wonderful feedback from our brides and grooms.
Kraut N' About has serviced all of south east Queensland and beyond! We can tailor a catering package to suit your wedding and look forward to working with you and exceeding your expectations.

About
Offering more than 35 years' experience in hospitality, David held senior Executive Chef and Catering Management roles with Clubs, Hotels, and Fine Dining Restaurants before founding Dorrington Fine Foods and acquiring its flagship operations, Kraut N' About, in 2017. With a lifelong passion for food, David offers a wealth of knowledge, and is held in high regard by his clients, colleagues, and staff, for his can-do attitude, engaging nature, and great sense of humour!

Easy Weddings Discount
If you book your wedding catering with Kraut N’ About before 30 June 2020, we will apply a 5% discount! Simply fill out the contact form or phone us, and mention "Easy Weddings Discount".
Terms & Conditions
Your booking must be confirmed by paid non-refundable 10% deposit no later than 31 July 2020. Minimum spend conditions must be met in order to receive discount offer. Value of any free meals provided will not factor into 5% discount.
Kids Wedding Meal Deal
If you have guests under the age of 6 years attending your wedding, Kraut N' About will provide a kids meal at no charge!
Terms and Conditions
Minimum spend conditions must be met in order to receive free meal offer. Value of free meals is not to be included in minimum spend total. Juniors aged 7 to 14 will qualify for their meal at half price. Minors over the age of 14 will not qualify for a free meal.
Complimentary Wedding Cake Cutting
At Kraut N' About we understand that weddings are expensive. If you would like to serve your wedding cake instead of catering a separate dessert, Kraut N' About will cut and serve your cake at no additional charge. We will also provide cutlery, serving boxes and garnishes.

Get Expert AdviceDo caterers let you taste their food before you book them?
Just wondering if it's standard to taste test a caterers cooking before you hire them. The food is SO important for my wedding and while the people I've been looking at LOOK good, how can I know they TASTE good too?

They should. We organise tastings if requested or invite people to our next food truck event where we can have some goodies on board.
Is it rude or unacceptable to only serve a main and wedding cake?
After quite a few issues with our first venue, we found a second venue that we love. Unfortunately they aren't able to cater to the late ceremony schedule we originally wanted. They have offered the solution of serving extra canapes before the ceremony but skipping the entree entirely so that the dining finishes within their time frame. Our guests will still get a choice of 2 mains and wedding cake for dessert with a fruit platter and cheese, but I don't know if it is rude not to have an entree. It feels weird to me to not serve an entree. Thank you.
