We make the most authentic and delicious wood-fired pizzas, calzones, strombolis and desserts from our food truck for all types of occasions. The Wood Fired Oven can provide catering for engagement parties, pre-wedding get-togethers or rehearsal dinners, weddings, or any other event that you are planning. Catering for special occasions can also be provided beyond our standard range of wood-fired pizza, including stromboli's, calzones, smoked slow-cooked meats like pulled pork, brisket, or even slow-cooked smoked ribs. Salad's, entrees, grazings platters, desserts and dessert platters and more can be provided for your special occasion. That's why we say so much more than just pizza!
We also hand make our dough using Italian Caputo 00 Pizza flour. Our BBQ and Tomato sauce is made from scratch, not out of a bottle. We use only fresh ingredients and make each pizza on the spot, so there can be a little bit of a wait but it’s worth it! We also have an onboard smoker oven imported from the USA and we smoke all our own pizza toppings ourselves. Yum!

From a background of customers service and with a desire to provide our clients with a simple and easy service for all of your special occasion catering, we created The Wood Fired Oven. We love handcrafting our wood-fired pizza, however, we also had a desire to provide a little more than just pizza. Adding a wood smoker oven to our truck allows us to prepare additional smoked toppings for our pizzas and is a personal passion of mine.

We believe that each wedding is unique and individual. As a result, we like to customise our packages to your needs and that of your guests. However, we do have minimum guest numbers and price that is a great starting point when planning your wedding. From $25 per person including GST we will provide all you can eat pizza for your guests from a selected range of our pizza's, plates and serviettes, a table to serve our pizza's too, and a rubbish bin for waste. There can be additional costs depending on location and power supply. Please contact us for further information.
We provide an all you can eat pizza buffet served to a table just outside our truck, table covered in a nice tablecloth, serviettes, disposable plates, a rubbish bin and disposal of your rubbish. We also provide our own power (at a small fee) if power cannot be supplied on site. Travel over long distances may attract a small additional fee.
Each package allows for different amounts of time on site to cook, serve and clean up. However, we are happy to discuss alternative options and customise our packages with you.
We focus on the greater Brisbane area, however, for the right event, we will travel further, though this may cost a small amount more for our staff and truck. Please contact us if you would like to discuss your event location.
A flat space of approximately 6.5m x 3m is required for the setup of the truck and table. We do need to easily access this site from a hard road surface and not grass especially if it rains. We can discuss this further and I am happy to visit the site to check access before your event is booked. Onsite power is beneficial however we do have an on the truck generator which we can run at a small surcharge. If onsite power is to be supplied we will generally need to have two 15amp plugs for connection.
Of course, in fact, we customise most of our weddings and welcome your input to ensure we cater to your taste and needs. We can provide Gluten free, Vegan and Vegetarian options as well. We also offer Grazing platters, Entrees, Desserts, Salads, and of course our wood-fired Pizza, Calzones, and Stromboli's.
We love to help our customers create the perfect day. Our aim is to organise everything so you don't have to worry about a thing on your special day. However, to achieve this we need to help you plan a few things. Obviously an understanding of the number of guests is a great place to start, however, we realise early on this may change and will work with you right up to a few weeks from your special day to finalise your needs. From wood-fired pizza, finger foods, grazing platters, and types of foods such as Italian, Middle eastern, Asian and other tastes, have all come together to create a fusion of options for your perfect day. Whether the catering is finger foods, or you want waiters to provide the food to your guests, most food trucks will have a multitude of options for you to choose from. For example, we provide our Bride and Groom to have everything they want, with the atmosphere of a less formal, but unique food truck experience. We can cater for your guests whilst you head off for photos after the ceremony with finger foods, grazing platters, with guests helping themselves of being waitered on.
