It’s never too early to order cake. The more notice the better.”

Now, you might be thinking that I say this purely for the benefit of my business. I get to lock in orders, get deposits paid, and have ample time to organise myself, my tools, ingredients, and other utensils etc, etc before the week of your occasion comes around.

Well yes, it sure does benefit me as a business owner.

However… I really say this to benefit YOU, the customer.

You know the age old saying ‘Better late than never’?

Sometimes in the cake world – being late can actually mean never.

Cakes aren’t just butter, sugar and flour. They take time to bake and time to decorate. If you leave your cake query until the last minute, you may simply just not have given your caker  enough time to help with your order.

Not only just that I may actually be completely booked out.

And if I’m booked out, or don’t have enough notice to do a cake, you, the amazing customer, will unfortunately miss out. And that just makes everyone sad. Saying no to a customer is never a good feeling. And not getting cake, is never a good feeling either.

Yes they are cheaper as the time it takes to ice is less than using fondent but final price depends on decorations used to style the cake
