About

My name is Nathalie and I am the Head of Cake Design at Cakes by Tati. I have been making cakes for over 10 years in the UK and Australia. I have had the pleasure and honour to work with the Petersham Hotel in Richmond London making cakes for their clients. At Cakes by Tati, we pride ourselves in offering elegant and delectable wedding cakes to make your day perfect. From traditional to modern designs and flavours, we have you covered. We're all about baking your ideas to life.

FAQ

  • Every cake is unique and therefore, the price will vary according to the complexity of the design, the number of tiers, the flavours chosen and the amount of time that needs to go into your cake.
  • My cakes are baked from scratch using the best and fresh ingredients. I do not use packet mix which guarantees a nice, homely made flavour

  • Sugar flowers are a great way to add a sophisticated look to your cake. It doesn't matter which month of the year you are getting married or having your party as they will always be in season. You can add glittery effects to them and furthermore, have them in any colour you want. However, please bear in mind that each flower will have to be hand crafted therefore involving more labour, which means adding to the cost of the cake.
  • Fresh flowers will definitely reduce the final cost of your cake however, some flowers might not be available depending of when you are having your party. On another note, not all fresh flowers are suitable to put on cakes as they may be poisonous.

  • You can certainly bring your own picture/design if you have one in mind, however, please note that I do not copy pictures like for like. I always add my own personal touch to it to respect copyright ownership, as I would not want other cake makers to copy my designs like for like either.

  • To avoid disappointments, the earlier the better. However, I suggest giving at least 5 months notice for wedding cakes and 3 weeks for any other occasion cakes. 

  • $100 or 50% if your order is under $100. Please note that all deposits are non refundable.

  • Paying a deposit guarantees that your date is booked in, that the price cannot go up and gives you peace of mind that you will definitely have a cake on your special occasion

The cake looked stunning on the weekend! Exactly what I envisioned. All 3 flavours were absolutely delicious: vanilla, white chocolate & raspberry, and lime & coconut. Cakes by Tati were reliable and professional. We were really happy with our cake!

Nathalie made both our engagement and wedding cakes, along with delicious raspberry flavoured macarons. She was very helpful and patient with us when we couldn’t decide which cake would fit best our theme. Is it possible to have a cake, cookies and donuts or is that too OTT?

Itos perfectly possible to have all these. You can have the cake as your centrepiece, then cookies as favours and how about a gorgeous donut wall? Alternatively, both cookies and donuts can be part of a dessert buffet.

Cake flavours and where to go?

Hey there. My fiancé and I are pretty set on our cake style, and the flavours we want. We’re wanting a boho decorated cake, and for the flavours, we want the bottom layer to be milk chocolate mud, next layer to be classic marble, next layer to be white chocolate mud, and the top layer to be dark chocolate mud.. We have no idea where to start or where to go. What cake makers would do this and what price would we be looking at? Around Sydney NSW

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding. Most cake makers would be able to accommodate different cake flavours for each tier. I personally find it more interesting to have different flavours otherwise it can be a little boring.

Are there gluten free options for cake?

After advice on gluten free options. Worried having a gluten free cake will result in no one eating the cake.

Good Morning.

Absolutely - there are plenty of yummy cake options available. From vanilla to chocolate or strawberry the list is endless.

If you have a mix of gluten free and non gluten free guests, then you can also have half cake to cater for gluten free and the other half for the non gluten free guests.
