About
One fateful day in the 80’s Yelka was thrown into the deep end and had to organise her first function. She travelled all over Victoria to find the perfect decor. At the end of it all she was so exhausted that she didn't even attend her own event. This was the birth of Elegant Occasions and has led Yelka down a road of study and self discovery. Today, Yelka has 3 grand-kids and is a fully-fledged wedding planner, stylist and cake artist. She looks forward to taking that stress away from your day.

What do you do if the cake gets damaged in transit to or at my reception site?

If we are delivering the cake we always take extra icing and equipment to be able to fix it.We deliver the cake early enough to have time to fix it in case anything goes wrong.
Fortunatelly this has only happened once in 30 years of me being in business.
How much does the average wedding cake cost?
Looking into costs and wondering how much they usually go for on average to serve 100 people.

The price of the cake depends on size and style. The more work it has the more it would cost.
The size of cake will depend on whether it is used as desert or coffee slices.Obviously if it is being used as desert it needs to be much bigger. However you will save money on a desert at the venue. ( there may still be a small " plating" charge by the venue)
I have found lately that the average price for a cake has been between $450 and $600

We always have free cake tasting for couples when ordering a cake. They tend to go for 2 flavours usually a chocolate based and one not so rich.They often serve it as desert so it can be served as alternating flavours.
