 Training with industry leaders both Australian and International, she now presents her own Wedding Bakery and Design Studio, J Poppet, on the Gold Coast.

She was very professional, and just perfect! All the guests raved about the cake, we couldn't eat enough of it, it was gorgeous and the look of it was great. She went above and beyond to source out some fresh flowers that she thought would be great with the theme and for the cake. She had it ready to be picked up and was really open to questions, very patient, and just had really brilliant service and a gorgeous cake!

She showed us her design, and when we booked everything afterward went really well. It was all perfect, the way it tasted and looked. She also delivered it to us as well! We went back and got another birthday cake from her too!

What are the most common wedding cake flavours?

J Poppet

chocolate is still the most popular. Most brides stick to the basics that the majority of guests will engoy. So Chocolate, White, caramel and RedVvelvet. Sometimes alternating layers and usually a different flavour on each tier. Other flavours include Citrus Coconut, Choc Hazelnut, Carrot, White with Raspberries....

if i have a small wedding cake, do i have to buy another bigger cake to cut up and give out?

gosh NO !!! I always tell my brides..."it's your wedding...you can do what you like" !       some brides like to follow tradition..... others like to do something out of  the box  ....or a suprise for their guests. ..... the main  thing is to do something you like that fits in with your theme and stlye.  Many receptions have a dessert buffet included in the menue so a huge cake isn't neccessary.

does it cost more to have multiple flavours in a 3 tiered cake? each tier a different flavour?

NO...absolutly not! I love it when my brides choose different flavours !
