Hi Bride,
I usually suggest couples that a Cheese Tower is a great fit if they have a three courses meal that includes dessert. The cheese towerthat will be cut as the main wedding cake, is usually then dismantled, cut and dresses on boards as a grazing table with accompaniments, for tthe guest to nibble along the rest of the night. I don't think they are tacky however choosing a cheese tower needs to fit your taste, theme, guest number and budget to create that wow factor.
