As celebrants we have seen many different entrances over the years...one of the most romantic ceremonies was seeing a bride walking herself across this beautiful lawn to "their" favourite song...they only had eyes for one another it really was a beautiful moment! There are no hard and fast rules follow your heart and what feels right for you on your special day.
Is it okay to stand the opposite way at the altar?
I know the bride is meant to stand on the left in our culture (and opposite in Jewish ceremonies), but can I stand on the right?

I officiated a wedding ceremony recently where the bride was self conscious about a scar on her arm, it really bothered her so it was lovely to see her relax and let go of feeling anxious when she knew she could stand whereever she felt more comfortable :-)
