I'm a mum of a beautiful teenager daughter, and I have been involved in weddings on Magnetic Island since 2001. I'm a strong believer in love, and expressing that love in a wedding is a moment in time that I am honoured to be a part of. I hope to help you create your one of a kind wedding ceremony.

Do celebrants have a backup celebrant in case of emergencies?

Hello. I was wondering what happens if our celebrant is sick or something happens and they can't come to our wedding on the day? Do they usually have a backup celebrant in mind for this sort of thing? And how does it work with the legal side, would our marriage still be legal if another celebrant performed the ceremony? Thank you!

Yes we do keep in touch with a network of celebrants, so there is always someone to turn to in case of emergency. I guarantee that if there is any unforseen circumstance that prevents me from being there on the day, that another celebrant will be arranged for my couples free of charge.

Is there anyway possible to get married without witnesses

Can you be married without witnesses in the same room. As I have anxiety issues and I don't do very well around other people.

I often suggest to my couples to have their parents as witnesses, or the people they feel closest to. Some couples choose to only have the photographer and musician to be their witnesses, for the intimate elopements that I perform on the beach, here on beautiful Magnetic Island. Make a holiday out of your wedding and then you will feel a lot more relaxed about the day too. Ask me about eloping to Magnetic Island for your tropical island wedding.

what time is your favourite for a wedding ceremony

Most brides get married at 3pm going along with the tradition, and it does allow time for lunch beforehand which is really necessary even if the bridal party don't feel peckish, at least some small sandwiches are a good idea. But if you aren't having a professional photographer or a big bridal party a 4pm wedding is often better. Even 5pm is fine for a small wedding without a photographer, depending on the time of year, but especially during summer.  Lots of brides prefer a later timed wedding so they can have some sunset photographs. That's why the later timed weddings are my favourite. Just love a sunset!
