OVERVIEW

Hey there, I'm Zoe! So you've found the one to rock your best with, right? Go you! And I'm guessing you want a shit hot wedding without done-to-death bits that kill the buzz. Well, step right up lovers. We've found each other!

Let’s be real. There’s no such thing as a fairytale when you’re organising your own wedding.

Managing the ‘big day’, and all those expectations, is pretty overwhelming. You gotta remember that everyone is rocking up because they love you guys. So just relax and enjoy yourselves. The only expectations we have to nail are yours.

I’m about creating ceremonies that have all the good parts you want and none of the boring bits that you think you have to have (you really don’t). Wedding cliches can go sit somewhere else. I can run with any “unscripted” moments that pop up and I’ll make sure everyone feels relaxed and all loved up.

As your celebrant, I’ll get to the heart of the real you, take a whole lotta load off your plate, and work my butt off to give you a ceremony that you and your guests will love. When we tell your great love story, we’ll all laugh, cry, and laugh again. Tissues people! Cause mascara’s gonna run.

Forget the fairytale, you’re gonna have the best freaking day of your lives.

So, let’s get married! Feel free to talk wedding to me and ask me questions. I'll always be happy to hear from you.

FAQ

Absolutely! If your plans for a big wedding have been impacted by what's going on the in the world, I am truly sorry. It is heartbreaking. However, all is not lost! I can create a beautiful ceremony for you both,  with just the two of you or a handful of guests.  We can have a fun and meaningful ceremony now and you can party big time later, when all this is over!

Congrats you two! Can’t wait to hear the proposal story. Can I suggest you:

1. Go on a date and chat about what kind of wedding you’d like. Big, intimate, on a mountain top, disco-themed? Think about how you want it to feel for you both and your guests (if you’re having guests). What vibe and personality do you want for your big day? Your answers will help guide you to a venue and the type of celebrant you want.

2. Choose a date and a venue. Lots of cool venue ideas right here at Easy Weddings!

3. Choose a celebrant that gets you. There’s a new breed of celebrants out there who are fun, high energy and natural. I’m one of them! Get in touch for a chat to see if I'm the one for you.

Absolutely! I'm a happy traveller and will perform ceremonies throughout Sydney, Eastern Suburbs, Inner West, The Shire, Western Suburbs, Northern Beaches, ACT, Blue Mountains, Central Coast, Hunter Region, North Coast, Byron Bay, Kangaroo Valley, Newcastle, South Coast and Southern Highlands.

Just say Marry Me Zoe!  I'm officially yours when you pay a 50% booking deposit and sign a service agreement. Then we can start all the fun planning!

Once you know the date and have booked a venue, get in touch. If you don’t need to book a venue, hit me up once you know the date.

  • You must not be in a prohibited relationship (immediately related to each other).
  • You must not be already married.
  • You must both be consenting.
  • You must be over 18 (one of you may be 16 if you have court approval).
  • You must give one month notice with a Notice of Intended Marriage form. A celebrant handles this for you.

I got you! I have an easy guide to help you write your vows. Plus, you have me as your personal cure for vow writer's block!

Well, that depends on you guys and what you want in it! A registry-style ceremony can be very short and one with readings and rituals could be 30 minutes. Think about how long you'd be comfortable standing together and what's important for you. We’ll work it out together when we meet.

If you want to avoid wedding cliches and cookie-cutter readings, then I’ll be your biggest supporter. There are some legal requirements in a ceremony but other than that, you’re good to go. You can make it as modern, fresh and unique as your hearts desire. What's important is that we do what makes you smile!

I'm going to be real with you – YES! A solid Plan B means less stress and more smiles. If you’re planning an outdoor ceremony we’ll need a plan for an indoor option if what we don’t what to happen, happens. We’ll have it covered!

If you're having a ceremony during the hot summer months, you'll also need to think about having water for your guests and an option for shade. It's very important that your guests are safe and comfortable.

Well, this is one of my favourite things! Choosing an outfit for your ceremony. I'll wear something stylish that fits in with your theme. I'll show you beforehand so that you're happy with my choice.

I sure can! Once we meet and I get a sense of your budget and style, I can put you in touch with other wedding "friendors".

I most definitely will! The music you choose should be what you love rather than what you think you should have. If you're into pop or rock,  have that as you walk down the aisle! If you don't love poems but would prefer your best friend to read lines from a movie, well do just that! You do you!

Absolutely, 1000%, no doubt about it, I looooove doing same sex weddings !!!!!!!

November 2023

Zoe was fantastic and was everything we wanted for our wedding to go through smoothly. We chose Zoe as we didn't want a traditional, serious wedding and Celebrant as we just wanted everyone to have fun and nothing feel awkward. Zoe is lovely and bubbly and bright, put your full trust in her and she will perform miracles. We had told Zoe that both of us are introverts a d I feel uncomfortable being inthe spotlight but Zoe made sure that everyone was laughing and having a good time including us so we could relax and enjoy the day.

Zoe is an absolute professional in good times. She smashed our ceremony and our story out of the park and we had so many guests approach us about how great she was. Thank you Zoe! We love you <3

Zoe is the most amazing celebrant out there! If you are looking for a relaxing day with loads of laughter than she is your gal. She kept everyone well entertained and even took the piss out of our friends and family, all while keeping us on schedule throughout the day (the schedule flowed without us even noticing). Zoe also MC'd for our reception and was fantastic in that regard too. She was the best entertainment and would highly recommend her for your big day. We couldn't imagine our wedding without you being a part of it. Thanks Zoe!!!

Should we have signs at our ceremony to leave the front row vacant for immediate family?

I was thinking maybe this is tacky, but then maybe it's necessary. (Or am I really just overthinking it?) Someone suggested that this is the role of the celebrant - to ensure that it's family in the first row. Is that generally true?

Marry Me Zoe

Hey there!

Thanks for the question! It's a good one! And I get asked this all the time by couples.

These days guests generally know to leave the front row for immediate family. In all the weddings I've done, I've never found signs to be necessary (one less thing for you to worry about ??)

Every celebrant is different of course, but my approach is to ask the couple in our final run-through, how they'd like to roll with the front row: who are the seats for, how many do we need to keep free,  do they care who sits there etc) and on the day I usually make sure the seats are left vacant! People are very understanding and I've never had an issue asking anyone to grab another seat.

So in a nutshell: I don't think signs are necessary and you should chat to your celebrant about how you'd like them to manage the front row! Easy! ??
