I’ve always been an active member of the community, and the go to girl when organising events for family and friends, often being asked to take on the role of MC. Add to that my love of a sense of occasion; becoming a celebrant seemed like a natural progression.
I feel I can bring a fresh and personal approach to your ceremony, ensuring that your vision and expectations for your day are delivered.
Your wedding should be fun and full of joy. I will work with you to create a ceremony that reflects your style and dreams while ensuring all the legal requirements are covered. Whether you want the whole shebang with all the bells and whistles or an intimate affair with just those closest to you, I would love to be your celebrant and help design a ceremony unique to you. My training as an actor provides me with the skills to deliver a professional clear service that will be memorable to you and your guests.
These days more and more couples are writing their own vows but if that is not your thing I have a large collection of vows, rings ceremonies, poems and readings. Either way, we can work together to build the ceremony of your dreams.

I feel like that might be awkward for us. We are a super stong and stable couple now, but when we met we still had a lot of growing up to do (we were teenagers, and broke each others hearts.) We had a huge falling out and reconnected later. It was very messy and all of our fam and friends know that. Do we have to go into that when our life is so beautiful NOW, and has been for years now?
How can I incorporate my step-child into the ceremony?

There are so many ways you can include your step child in the ceremony. Why not ask them what they would like to do.
They could have an official role eg:...
Ring bearer
Groomsmen/Bridesmaid
Usher
I also like to include them in the body of the ceremony and talk about the fact that we have more than just the couple going into this relationship, and that with this marriage we are also be forming a family.
It is important they feel a part of the day and the family.
How does the name change process work?
Do celebrants help with this process?

If you are married in Australia a formal change of name is not required.
Once you have recieved your Official Marriage Certificate from Births Deaths and Marriages, you can use this to change your name on documents for up to 12months. I always suggest changing your driver's Licence and passport immediatley, if you have them. Then you will have 3 official documents in your new name to use going forward and can then update all accounts and cards etc using those.

Definitely not! It's your day and you should only include what you feel comfortable with.
It sounds like you want your day to focus on the positive and the 'now'. However if you did want to talk abouy your relatiionship, your celebrant could say something llke " A & B met more than x years ago and although it hasnt always been easy, their relationship has grown with their love and maturity into the strong and loving couple we see here today".
