Hello. I am originally from Scotland and I am a qualified nurse. I chose to be come a celebrant, as I find that weddings are wonderfully happy events and I felt that I could be part of making the ceremonies really special.

I'm looking into booking a celebrant, but I don't understand the difference between ceremony types?
Some provide a "full personalised" ceremony, and others a basic package, what's the biggest difference there? I thought all ceremonies had to be pretty much the same, ie: "Do you ___ take ___ to be your lawfully wedded wife". Please explain how there's such a big difference in price and services? :)

Hi.
Like many of the celebrants have already said - You choose what type of ceremony you want. Grand or simple, romantic or classic,traditional or modern.
I guess the biggest thing to decide on is if you would like a religious or non-religious ceremony.
I am a civil celebrant so would not be able to provide a religious ceremony but you would be welcome to incorporate a religious component in readings or music.
