How many guests will be at the wedding? If it is just the two of you, do you require me to provide 2 witnesses over the age of 18, which I can organise? What is your chosen location for the ceremony? What is the date and time of your ceremony?
Absolutely everything.......from small intimate romantic elopements and registry style marriage ceremonies to the larger and more elaborate wedding events, beach, hinterland, gorgeous venue or your own backyard, I am a supporter of marriage equality and perform civil unions, naming ceremonies and vow renewals as well.
I think this is my most regularly asked question and for good reason! You are going from one name to a new name but on your wedding day, please sign the certificates with your CURRENT signature, i.e....is your old name!
I am an experienced Celebrant and delight in arranging beautiful ceremonies that will be remembered for a life-time, be they very simple for just the 2 of you or more elaborate, I will liaise with you until the occasion is just as you desire and more....! I have access to numerous other suppliers who I can personally recommend and organise for you. I am mostly always contactable too, please feel free to message/email/call me evenings and weekends, public holidays too, I will always return your call as soon as I possibly can.
Yes, I am fully insured through the 'Australian Federation of Civil Celebrants', the largest association of professional celebrants in Australia. All public liability is covered at any venue and we are also provided with many benefits to maintain our professional service to the highest degree. All aspects of my work are absolutely in line with the requirements of the Attorney-General, the regulatory body of Celebrants in Australia.
Your Wedding Date! 365 possibilities! Have you checked there are no sporting, music, culture events, markets or festivals in the area? School holidays on the Sunshine Coast are also busy times and best avoided if possible. Saturdays and Sundays are very busy and book well in advance; consider having your Sunshine Coast Wedding on a weekday which is generally quieter. Get an idea of a range of dates that may also suit friends and family guests. Have you allowed plenty of time with your work/commitment schedule to properly celebrate; there’s nothing worse then marrying on the weekend and going back to work at 8am on a Monday!?
A Recessional is walking back down the aisle while everyone stands to congratulate and cheer usually to upbeat tunes with either sparklers, petals, leaf confetti or bubbles. Others prefer a quieter conclusion to their ceremony that comes to its natural end at the signing table where someone can bring you a glass of champagne! Have you factored in time for yourselves on the day, each hour will go by in whirlwind of energy and emotion, make sure to take plenty of time together sessions to be in the moment together. Make time to greet/hug/chat with each older family relative, they will not be able to whizz up to you and say ‘Hi’ as easily and it will be important for them to have some one-on-one time with you.
Have you organised someone to assist the photographer with the list of who you want in family/guest photos? You will be in all the photos so this needs to be someone else who knows the names of most of the guests.
