Fabulous, fun and relaxed ceremonies! Whether you want 'traditional' or barefoot on the beach, Jacqui will adapt to your personal wishes and create a Ceremony that is unique to you!

My intimate wedding packages evolved from all the wonderful couples I have married from Australia and all over the world, who chose to have a simple wedding in a stunning location with just themselves or a few family/friends present.

Your intimate ceremony will be very personal and absolutely about the two of you! Speak to each other from the heart - without the huge 'audience'. Eliminate the stress and expense of a big wedding!

Wherever you are in the world, you will have my professional support every step of the way. I have worked with some of the best wedding professionals available and can suggest florists, photographers, decorators, restaurants and accommodation to suit your own unique style.

About

I grew up in one of the most beautiful parts of Sydney, on the Northern Beaches overlooking Manly Beach, NSW. I have also lived in Papua New Guinea, Tasmania and Victoria - never far from the beach and adventure. I have a real zest for life and love to explore our planet! I am blessed to now live in Peregian Beach, near Noosa, on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland and love nothing better than creating special ceremonies in this idyllic part of the world.

Jacqui Clarke made the whole process of organising a celebrant flawless! In my opinion Jacqui is the most professional celebrant by listening to all my needs and wants for my ceremony. Jacqui put together our ceremony and tailored it to what was discussed in our meetings together. Distance was no hurdle as we don't live close to the sunshine coast. Jacqui was the perfect celebrant for us. Jacqui was a pleasure to deal with in the lead up prior to our special day. Jacqui was professional and always communicated promptly. Jacqui personalised our wedding ceremony and took the time to adjust it several times to make it perfect for us. Jacqui was accomodating of all our requests for our ceremony. Can the celebrant refer to us as husband and wife in a commitment ceremony?

In a commitment ceremony is the celebrant allowed to say husband and wife?

Personally, I would not use those words as they commonly purport to a legal marriage. It is illegal for a celebrant to give the impression that a commitment ceremony is in any way a legal marriage. There are many other ways to express a couples commitment to one another and I would explore this avenue.

Who can be our witnesses if we don't know anyone in Australia?

While all these answers are correct, there is no requirement to sight ID or proof of age for witnesses to a marriage. They can be two strangers to the parties getting married, and must 'appear to the person solemnising the marriage to be, over the age of 18 years' (Marriage Act 1961).

My partner won't be wearing a wedding ring. Does this make the "ring exchange" part of the ceremony seem awkward?

Not awkward at all! It is quite common for grooms to not want a wedding ring but that's no reason the other partner can't receive one. I usually have the person giving the ring say a few relevant words as the ring is presented and placed on the finger. Then the person who received the ring can say a lovely 'Thank you for this beautiful ring ..... ' with some meaningful words. Your celebrant should be able to write this smoothly into the ceremony.
