I believe in the power of people coming together to mark and celebrate important events in each other’s lives. This is what binds us together. I love to help couples to create meaningful moments that will be treasured.
With over 10 years experience as a celebrant I have helped many couples craft that magical ceremony. Wedding and Commitment ceremonies bring people together by merging different families and friends. This acknowledgement by a couple's community strengthen their relationship. It is an absolute honour as a celebrant to be part of that.

I listen closely to my couples and try my best to bring to life what they envisage. I strive to make the ceremony easy and worry free.
My focus is to provide you with what you wish and what you are comfortable with. Your ceremony will be created with warmth, good humour, and careful attention to detail.

About
I started my business in 2009. I was a secondary Drama and English teacher and was fascinated by the way rituals and traditions help cement relationships within communities. I realised that I had a pretty unique skill set to help people create meaningful ceremonies for these important events . My first ceremony was my niece's and her partner's wedding on Straddie. It was a very moving and joyful experience and motivated me to continue to create those magical moments for others.

I have a standard cost but this can vary given different circumstances.

Rituals can enhance your ceremony. They can add a bit of theatre to the occasion and can convey the importance of the ceremony taking place.
I've been doing a few hand-fasting rituals at the moment and I find them quite moving and meaningful. Check my videos out to see one in action.
I'm also fond of a candle lighting ritual which can be a lovely way to involve family members in the ceremony. Of course on a windy day it can be a bit risky!
Other rituals include creating a sand vase; a wine sharing ritual; rose petal/flower encirclement.

I'm happy to travel and have officiated at ceremonies on beaches, parks, homes, restaurants, wedding venues, cafes and bars on the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Stradbroke Island, Montville, Mt Tamborine, all over Brisbane, Hunter Valley, Magnetic Island.
Soemtimes, I do charge a fee for travelling. It will depend on your special requirements or circumstances.

I am also a Justice of the Peace (Qual.) to help with any certification of documents.

Well, basically you can skip everything EXCEPT for the Celebrant's Authority, the official vows and having 2 witnesses over the age of 18.
Everything else is up for negotiation.
You don't need to exchange rings, do readings, give away the bride or make declarations or have a large wedding party. It can be a very simple but meaningful ceremony that lasts a few minutes.
Some of the most moving ceremonies I've conducted occurred around picnic tables with 5 people or in a restaurant with 5 peole involved.
