As a Civil Celebrant living here in beautiful Brisbane, I have come to understand that each couple I meet are unique therefore each ceremony I write is also unique because it is about you and your story.
This really makes the role of a celebrant exciting, you share with me your thoughts, your dreams and I support you in the writing of your ceremony a ceremony that will say to family and friends ‘we know who we are and where we are going’ and we would love you all to share this day with us.
There are many ways in which your ceremony can unfold, this is the exciting part, this is where your ceremony is tailored for each couple, readings, samples and ‘just ideas’ are topics we constantly talk about as we go along. I will work with your venue, photographer and wedding planner, just little things that help to make your day run smoothly.

As I stand waiting for each couple to arrive I feel the emotion, the excitment of what is about to unfold, this moment gives meaning to why I became a celebrant. For many years I have been able to spend many special moment with my own family & I know how important a stable relationship supports marriage. Take care Judy

Having a bride walk in by herself is extremely moving, often the groom will step forward & those final steps are taken together.

Do you usually have a rehearsal with the couple before the wedding day?

A rehearsal often calms nerves, if the couple remembers one thing from a rehearsal then all is well. It is a time to get the timing for the music, where everyone will stand, should it be around the same time as the wedding it gives us a better idea where the sun will be on the day. Time to go through the ceremony & make changes should they be needed, it is also a time for a relaxed conversation with the couple prior to their wedding day.
can celebrants offer advice on vows? or even coach us?

We can, we do have ideas in our folders & we can talk you through this important stage. Couples can ask as many questions as they wish with regards to vows however if it comes from your heart then you may well have it right.
You may repeat or even read from a Plam Card it is always your choice.
