Weddings should be fun, exciting and celebrate the two of you. I am here to help you with this in any way that I can. I take great joy in being there along the way to guide and assist you in making this day the most memorable and important day of your lives so far. Your wedding is about you. 100%. Anything you and your partner would or wouldn’t like to happen or to take place is your choice! (outside of the legal requirements)

Planning a wedding can be daunting, and with others expectations and traditions it can be overwhelming. Just remember, the day is about the two people in love, the two of you! I'm here for you, to help make the ceremony what you would like it to be.

For those of you who are after something different, whether it be a themed wedding, costumed or anything considered an out of the norm, I would be happy to discuss your ideas and see if it was something I could help with.

Hi, I'm Steven Fleming and I am a registered Civil Celebrant in Australia, and I love what I do! I have a beautiful Kelpie named Phoenix, and am an incredibly open minded, outgoing and creative person. Other than this, I don't know what else to tell you, as I don't want this to end up looking like a dating profile. Do you support Marriage Equality?

YES!

Well to be more specific, I support equality in all forms :) People are people, and love is love.

Do we have to have a 'traditional' wedding? What are the options?

No, no you don't. While traditions have their place, they had to start as a new idea sometime. The options are literally limitless! While there are a few requirements we must adhere to to ensure it is legally recognised, everything outside of these is up to you!

So get to thinking on how you would like to make the day refelct you and your partner.

What sort of Celebrant are you?

I am a pretty laid back, vibrant person. Having said that, I've spent 20 of my 32 years with a passion and training in performance, I really mean it when I say the day is about you, so I can be any type of celebrant you want. I'm open to any suggestion, so let's have a chat and see if I am the right fit for you.

What do you wear on the day?

Again, the day is about you, so just about anything you would like. Usually I am in a suit, but if there is something in particular you would like me to wear, or an appearance to give, lets chat about how to make it happen.

Whats the bare minimum we need to make this happen on the day?

2 loving people (you and your partner), A celebrant (me), and 2 legal witnesses (anyone over 18 who understands what is going on).

There are a few identification documents you need for us to complete the paperwork, but the rest I look after.

Steven was so wonderful to work with for our wedding. He made everything feel really easy and stress-free (in the lead up and on the day). He really made sure the ceremony was exactly what we wanted and felt right for us. He took care of the music on the day, and provided heaps of helpful documents on writing our vows and deciding how we wanted the ceremony to go. So many of our guests actually commented on how well he spoke and how the ceremony felt really fitting for us. He's a super lovely guy and we cannot recommend him highly enough!

A big thank you to Steven! From our first meeting, Steven's easy-going vibe made Chris and I feel super comfortable. He took the time to get to know us as a couple, gave us lots of ideas, and was flexible with meetings and reviewing ceremony/ vow drafts leading up to the wedding. On the day, Steven contacted both of us in the morning to check in and see how we were going - he even asked about our colour scheme so he could coordinate his suit. Our ceremony was beautiful! We couldn't have asked for more!

My husband Jack and I recently got married and we were so lucky to have found Steven to marry us. Jack and I were looking to have a short and simple ceremony as we really wanted our vows to be the most important part of the ceremony. Steven was so flexible and accommodating to make sure our ceremony was exactly what we wanted. It felt like we had a personal friend marrying us on the day as he made sure to check-in on us in the days to hours leading up to the wedding.
