OVERVIEW

Becoming a celebrant allows me to create special moments for you and your partner, also a unique and memorable ceremony.

HI! I’m Stacey!
A young, fresh Authorised Marriage Celebrant.

I have been married since November 2014 and understand the stressors and excitement that come with all things weddings.
So, I am here to help! I have a background in nursing, (for the past nine years) specialising in Emergency and Trauma. I have been extremely lucky in my nursing career, in that I have been able to live in Perth, Sydney and Melbourne.

I became a celebrant because I love working with people, creating and travelling. Whatever your request (as wild and whacky as you can come up with), I will do my best to create it!

I offer a unique ceremony experience as I guide you and your partner through the journey to become married. From the first message or catch up, to after the signing of official documents; I am available for all those niggly little questions to the harder ones - like how to write your vows and everything in between! :)

About

I have recently moved back to Perth after a few years on the east coast, and boy am I glad to be back! I have been married for five years and have two perfect fur babies. I love what I do as a celebrant and enjoy creating lifelong memories for you, your partner, family and friends. I love getting involved in styles of ceremonies including traditional aboriginal, traditional Asian and Mediterranean style, same-sex marriage and elopments!

FAQ

A celebrant is a person who is Authorised and registered by the Australian Government to perform legal marriages according to the Marriage Act of 1961. I will guide you through the processes of getting married - from the first meeting, to the final signing of the wedding certificates.

I have completed Certificate IV in Celebrancy. Further to this, I have successfully passed the registration criteria with the Attorney General and maintain the mandatory continued professional development hours.

I love the opportunity to get to know you and your partner. I do this through consults, a follow up to sign the NOIM (notice of intention to marry) and questionnaire – there are 16 questions of varying difficulty (level of personal details).

Description the forms that you will be required to sign and have an understanding of

Happily Ever After - information on pre- marriage counselling and education.
Notice of Intention to Marry (NOIM) - this is the form you will sign first. Once completed, I will lodge this with Births Deaths and Marriages. The NOIM needs to be completed and witnessed (by me) at least one calendar month prior to your ceremony date.
Declaration of Legal Impediment to Marry – this form is to confirm that you and your partner are legally able to wed (i.e. – that you and/or your partner are not currently married, awaiting a cessation) and should be completed as close to the ceremony but before the day. I.e. Rehearsal.
Official Marriage Certificate – This form requires signatures of you and your witnesses. I will have it filled out on the day for you. There will be two copies of this to sign on the day. One for me to keep for seven years, and one that I will be sending off to Births Deaths and Marriages.
Fluffy Form 15 - This certificate holds no legal significance, but is much more visually appealing. Often used for display purposes.

I arrive approximately one hour prior to the start of the ceremony; during this time I set up equipment, greet the guests as they arrive, and provide housekeeping.
When you arrive, I like to greet the bridal party and then commence the ceremony.
After the ceremony, I will give your Fluffy 15. I can direct your guests or handover to your MC for further details. Once most people have moved on, I will start to remove any equipment that I bring in and then leave quietly.

July 2019

I highly recommend Stacey as a marriage celebrant. My husband and I recently eloped. I thought a celebrant simply stood up the front and said some legal words and their job was done. I was very wrong. Stacey met with us prior to the day to help us choose songs, come up with an itinerary for the day and more. She then had us complete questions so that she could write a ceremony for us. She also helped us with our vows, lodged the notice of intent and also lodged the marriage certificates. She is very passionate about her important role in your special day. Stacey was very organised and even provided a signing table, speakers and more if required.
