I am a Jenaleen Downie. I’ve been a celebrant since 2010, as a side gig to my Mon-Fri job. I’m used to being busy, doing 101 things at once, so I have to be very organised. I have a creative background which helps me to create unique ceremonies. I am passionate about music, keeping healthy, treating others with respect and fairness, loving my family and friends and being the best person I can be.

My celebrant career began in 2010.
Every ceremony is unqiue as every couple has their own special story.
Doing an elopement ceremony in a hot air balloon over the Hunter Valley was a memorable one. It was my birthday that day so it was extra special.
Conducting a ceremony with Indigenous customs performed by an Aboriginal Elder was another very special ceremony.
Short answer - yes. But the legal paperwork ( Notice of Intended Marriage) must be completed one month before the date, so the surprise is really for the guests.
