OVERVIEW

Seeing couples on the happiest day of their lives brings me unspeakable joy!

My name is Jessica Rose and I LOVE being a celebrant.

I am in love with love and have worked in the celebrancy industry for over ten years as a celebrant trainer, wedding singer and civil wedding celebrant in Brisbane.

The turning point that made me want to become a celebrant was that wonderful wave of love I felt at my own wedding, and I knew that was something I wanted to be about. Since then, I’ve dedicated my life to celebrancy. Seeing couples on the happiest day of their lives brings me unspeakable joy, and I have the privilege of celebrating love as a full time job.

All packages include:

* A celebratory bottle of champagne!
* As many meetings as as you desire – face-to-face, Skype, phone etc – whatever you need!
* Completion and submission of all legal paperwork.
* Explanation of the legal terms and jargon.
* Ceremony ideas and resources.
* Ceremony scripting, advice and brain storming ideas.
* A high-quality PA and microphone for your ceremony, which can also be used to play music for walking down the aisle, signing papers, and recessional.

I hope to hear from you soon and be apart of your special day.

About

When I’m not spending my time getting excited with my almost-newly-weds, I am a celebrancy trainer at Rose Training Australia and run a small editing and copywriting business called Ellipsis. I leverage these skills to craft magical ceremonies that really capture what you and your partner are about. I also have a cute little family with my nerdy husband Davide and babies Annabelle and Eloise, who make my life so joyful.

Any tips on writing vows?

I have no idea where to begin. Are they meant to be promises?

Lovestruck Celebrations

Hello! I can definitely help you with that :-)

A few things:

  • You don't need to include promises. There are only two mandatory aspects of the wedding. These are The Monitum and Mandatory vows (written below this email). Anything additional to this is totally up to you :-)
  • There are so many things you can include in your ceremony. My advice is to not attempt every aspect! Figure out the stuff that is important to you and focus on that. Before you start writing your ceremony or looking at example scripts, jot down a few key takeaways you want from your script (what really matters about your wedding).
  • I supply numerous pieces of script that I have handpicked as the best. This has been collected from weddings I have written for couples and through years of training the Certificate IV in Celebrancy. This is a really good place to start from - pick out the pieces of the script you'd like to use, then we'll tweak it to reflect who you are as a couple. Usually, before you receive these scripts, we will have met and you'll have told me your back story as a couple. So using this, we can weave your story into the scripts you've chosen (and tweaked) so together we can create something that is unique and resonates with who you are as a couple.

I hope this helps!! Feel free to call me on 0435 220 080 if you would like any more advice :-)

Warmest regards,

Jessica Rose

MANDATORY ASPECTS OF YOUR CEREMONY

Monitum

I am duly authorised by law to solemnise marriages according to law. Before you are joined in marriage in my presence and in the presence of these witnesses, I am to remind you of the solemn and binding nature of the relationship into which you are now about to enter. Marriage, according to law in Australia, is the union of a man and a woman to the exclusion of all others, voluntarily entered into for life.

The vows

Minimum wording:

I call upon the persons here present to witness that I, <Bride/Groom> take thee <Groom/Bride> to be my lawful wedded <wife/husband>.
