75 years young, 4500 ceremonies, still going strong.
Following my appointment by the Attorney-General of Australia in 1995, I have conducted 4500 ceremonies. I get great satisfaction when performing all the varied duties of an Authorized Celebrant and being able to liaise with all types of people.
Celebrancy is the best job I have ever had and being 75 years young, life and ceremonies couldn't be better. It is a great feeling being a part of one of the happiest days in the life of the bride and groom and their families.
I am not a serious type of person but I do not tell jokes during a ceremony - I see the job of a celebrant, is to conduct the wedding ceremony in a thoroughly happy and relaxed atmosphere but at the same time with dignity and meaning. I strive to maintain a balance between the formal and personal aspects of the ceremony.
I am a member of the Association of Authorized Celebrants of Victoria, an organisation that demands a very high standard of quality and excellence from its members.
I provide the Bride and Groom with many choices of ceremonies for: introductions, readings, vows, rings, giving away, askings, tying the knot, cultural customs. Other ideas include; appreciation certificates for flower girls and page boys, background history of the bride and groom and introduction of the bridal party to the guests.
