Jo is the kind of celebrant you wish for. She goes above and beyond to form a relationship, and personalise your day even more. She eloquent, friendly, cheeky, sweet and moving. Her incredible heart shows through the entire ceremony, and every single person at my wedding commented on how she ‘didn’t drone’ and how ‘personal’ the wedding was. She made everyone feel special, and included. Welcoming and warm, she made the day that much more amazing. Highly recommended doesn’t begin to cover it, don’t use anyone else. There is only Jo!

Great question!

Having conducted 200+ ceremonies and being a little bit more on the wild side as far as celebrants go - that answer is totally dependant on the couple - EACH OF WHICH IS UNIQUE.

I do not believe that people set out to get married and then bust up again. Their wedding and the commitment they make on the actual day of the wedding is significant enough for them to see a future that has longevity (marriage). On saying this, couples that I deal with are down to earth and are more realistic about what their futures may hold. Nothing is certain.

A wedding is just one fun way in which to celebrate and acknowledge the (hopefully just as fun) marriage to follow.
No matter how couples choose to approach it, I always try to remind them to keep the big picture and have fun, otherwise what's the point?
Life is too short. Wedding or marriage - keep the big picture.

Eloping without witnesses?

My partner and I are thinking of eloping but just with our children and no witnesses. Is this possible?

Congrats! There is nothing more exciting then throwing caution to the wind, doing what you really want to do and ELOPING.

It is important to make sure that you are legally compliant if you want the wedding to be official and if so, you will require two witnesses over the age of 18.

There are a number of ways though that you can arrange this - without the witnesses being involved in your more intimate moments. Should you wish to get a bit more information on this please do not hesitate to get in contact. I love to assist couples in haing elopements that are exactly the way they want.
