I became a Celebrant in 2017.I am married with two grown up children and live with my partner in Bedford WA.I became a Celebrant as I have a passion for entertaining people and making them feel special.My interests include singing karaoke and being a Master of Ceremonies.I support Marriage Equality.Everyone deserves the same respect and equality. Yes you can. I always meet my clients to discuss their ceremony needs. If that is not possible I am happy to speak over the phone or via Skype. It is good to note that I do not charge any additional fees for meetings and encourage all clients to organise a meeting so we can give you the ceremony you have always wanted.
Once all relevant documentation has been correctly filled in and you are married, I will forward the application to obtain a marriage certificate. This is done at no extra cost to you.
Yes, you actually need two witnesses for your wedding ceremony. These witnesses need to be over the age of 18. In most cases they are your Best Man and Matron of Honour.

Do couples usually use vow books?

All Celebrants should have a list of suggested vows couples can use.Otherwise couples can write their own vows to be used.
On the day these vows can be read by the celebrant and then repeated by the couple or they can themselves read from a printedf sheet or even memorise their vows,
Any tips on writing vows?
I have no idea where to begin. Are they meant to be promises?

Only one ceremony is legally recognised.If you want a civil ceremony you can however include a religious content withon the ceremony by have special religious readings,music,exchanging items of religious significance etc.
