OVERVIEW

I look forward to helping you create your unique and special day.

My name is Linda Benneworth and I am an authorised Celebrant. I’ve lived in Tasmania for more than 30 years, and I’m increasingly proud of our beautiful state and all the possibilities it offers for wedding ceremonies and receptions.

Creating fun, personalised and inclusive wedding ceremonies is my speciality and I love what I do. I think that it’s important to feel you can trust your marriage celebrant and know that they will listen to you, so I make it my priority to develop great working relationships with all my couples.

I have worked hard to develop and refine my extensive ceremony resources to make the planning process easy for you. I can help you with recommendations, ideas and advice for whatever style of ceremony you choose. On the day, my relaxed yet professional approach and sense of humour will ensure that your wedding ceremony will be memorable and stress free. This is an exciting time for any couple planning their marriage ceremony, and everything else that needs to be arranged.

Linda is absolutely amazing! Everything was so simple, easy and well organised, she is willing to do anything to make the day seamless and was very open to how we wanted our ceremony ran. We couldnt have asked for a better celebrant for our wedding! Thankyou Linda!

Do celebrants usually recommend pre-marriage counselling or courses?

Linda Benneworth

Yes it is a requirement for all Celebrants to give couples planning to marry a copy of the ‘Happily Ever......Before and After brochure. It has some really useful information about the legal process,  possible changes to wills and taxation and recommends couples consider pre marriage courses. Your Celebrant will be able to give you details on the courses that are available in your area.

what time is your favourite for a wedding ceremony

Linda Benneworth

Like everything about your wedding, the time of your ceremony is really what best suits you. I'm based in Tasmania and often the time of year can influence your decision on timing if you plan to have your ceremony outside. In my experience outdoor weddings in the summer months are sometimes best in the afternoon, when the heat of the day has passed.

Winter weddings outdoors can also be magical, however I always ask Brides and Grooms to have a plan B for indoors, just to be on the safe side.

Wedding ceremonies at an indoor venue can take place anytime that suits your plans, and I have no preference.

This is your day, and whatever time you decide for your wedding ceremony should be right for you and your future husband.

Can you go without a rehearsal with bridal party?

Is a runsheet enough to coordinate everyone on the big day or are rehearsals necessary? If so what is the best approach for this?

Linda Benneworth

Many couples prefer to have a rehearsal before their wedding day, however it isn't mandatory. As long as the bridal party have a good idea as to where they will stand, the rest can be prompted by your celebrant. For instance if one of your bridal party or guests is reading on the day, I would usually ask them to join us by saying, "I now invite name to share a reading with us". By the time your wedding day comes around, the ceremony and how it will be 'staged' would have been discussed at length to ensure it is exactly as you both want it to be.
