I have been a celebrant for several years now and have loved every minute of it. Beginning my working life as a teacher, I then went on to work in the areas of retail, fashion, food and real estate while marrying and raising a family.  I am now a proud grandmother and am still working, although not as hard as I used to.  People are my passion and I have found that being a celebrant is so rewarding and exciting - such a significant day in the journey of life.

I have performed many weddings in a wide range of locations - outside in beautiful private and park-like surroundings, rotundas, back yards, decks, on beaches, farms, wineries, State reserves and other stunning venues.  Each wedding has been such a unique and highly individual occasion when the past journey and the future one anticipated, is such a personal collaboration to share with their guests. To be a part of that special day is an honour and a privilege. 

I usually prepare for your wedding in three stages beginning with the initial interview and and the lodging of the Notice of Intention to Marry. At this time we talk broadly about ideas and style of ceremony you are aiming for as a couple. Your personal stories and involvement of family are discussed. We design the ceremony together and then it is refined by email till you are happy with it. If we need to meet again to discuss the finer detail, then that is fine too.  Closer to your wedding day, we sign the Declarations, finalise the ceremony and do a rehearsal at the venue. This is a great time to meet the members of the wedding party and fine tune how the day will go. On the day, I arrive well in time to set up and keep an eye on things. Once your ceremony is over, I will discreetly go when the time is right.

I really love to do multi cultural ceremonies and intimate get togethers. They can be so special to the bride and groom who are not living in their country of birth. Ceremonies can be live streamed and it is great to experience the participation of parents and extended family members in real time! I like to do ceremonies when you have seized the moment and made the decision to marry so the fast progression of the process is really exciting.
