Most Civil Marriage Ceremonies last about fifteen to twenty minutes and may take even less time depending upon content. Just remember that the signing of the paperwork takes up to ten minutes .

Children in the wedding party itself seem to cope better with all the fuss and attention if they are four years or older and attend the rehearsal so they know what is expected of them.

Please try hard to keep to the agreed starting time for the ceremony. If the ceremony is more than 30 minutes late, I reserve the right to proceed to my next commitment. If possible, I will not book another wedding on your day, however I do have other appointments sometimes in which I need to attend. Also you must remember that your guests arrive 20 – 30 minutes before you and are also waiting.

You pay your deposit at the first interview; the balance of your fee is due at the second interview and no later than the rehearsal. Money is not taken on the wedding day, it is tacky and adds unnecessary tasks to the day.

The rehearsal takes place after the second meeting and before the wedding day. Usually 1 or 2 weeks prior. It will assist us to fine tune the ceremony and clarify positions, music etc. It is a very important part of the process. All people participating in the wedding should attend the rehearsal. Most venues are happy to accommodate a rehearsal.
