OVERVIEW

Congratulations! You have some wonderful news. How exciting for you and your families. I would love to be a part of your celebration!

I am a positive, friendly and creative lady who has been involved in wedding ceremonies since my late teens, first as a soloist singing at weddings, and later as a celebrant.

Over the years I have been fortunate to have met a great diversity of people, and have been privileged to be part of important occasions in their lives. I am proud to have helped their vision’s become reality, and have been honored to do so.

For you as a couple, for your family, and for your guests, I understand how important it is that your marriage ceremony represents you and your vision for your wedding day.

To write your story, I need information which only you can give me, so we must be able to chat together well.

A phone call will soon answer that question. Next step is a no obligation meeting to discuss any ideas you may have for the ceremony.

If unsure, I can provide lots of reference material to help with this.

If you choose me to be your celebrant, we would work on your wedding ceremony together, and with our collaboration make your wedding ceremony unique reflect you, your ideas and feelings.

Again congratulations.

About

I have been a Marriage Celebrant since 2006, and I am a professional, friendly and laid back lady who has conducted wedding ceremonies both large and small, in Chapels, Gardens, on Beaches, in Restaurants, Family homes, and in Reception Venues. Sorry, no bungee jumping - but pretty much anywhere else is worth considering. I am welcoming of all gender couples.

FAQ

Our first “Get to Know You” meeting is free. If you engage me to be your celebrant my fee will include meeting to assist you in filling out the legal documentation, gathering the details to allow me to write your personal marriage ceremony, unlimited email and phone contact, rehearsal at venue if required, conducting the ceremony at your chosen location, and the lodgement of the legal documentation with Birth, Deaths and Marriages after your wedding. There are no other additional fees to my quote.

1/ The original copy of both you and your partner's birth certificate. If you do not have this paperwork, these can be obtained through the Births, Deaths and Marriages Register, and can be done on line. (It may take 1 to 2 weeks).

2/ If either of you have been married before- either a divorce or death certificate, as proof that you are free to marry again. Again, copies can be obtained through the Births, Deaths and Marriages Register. (If these documents are in a language other than English, it may be necessary to have them looked at by a translator.)

3/ And lastly, a photo ID for each of you. This can be one of the following.... a Passport, (does not need to be current, but cannot be a Cancelled Passport) a Drivers Licence, Learners Permit, or a photo work ID. If you do not already have a photo ID, you can apply for a Key Pass identity card at the post office.

I service all the Melbourne area, and up to a one hour drive in any direction. I also service Apollo Bay, Colac, Frankston, Gippsland, Mornington Peninsula, Phillip Island, and Rosebud & Rye.

I am happy to negotiate if your ceremony location is further than a 1 hour travel time from Berwick.

I am happy to visit you at your home where you will be more relaxed, and your needed documentation will be at hand. Children around are never a problem. We can share a cuppa as we chat and get to know each other a little. That’s the best way to see if I am the right celebrant for you.

At our first meeting I will leave you with a number of reference books filled with Poems, Reading’s, Vow and Ring Exchange wordings for you look through at your leisure. Also information on how we can include children, family and friends into your ceremony if that is your wish.

Lexie was a Local lady. She made sure we understood everything and customised the ceremony exactly to how we wanted it.

Lexie officiated our wedding and curated a beautiful ceremony that was so us. She was so helpful and lovely! We worked closely with her, describing our ideas and she provided such perfect guidance to us to create our special day. I would highly recommend Lexie, we are so grateful to have had her for our wedding.

Lexie was amazing. The minute we met, she was warm and helpful. We decided on the spot to have her be our celebrant, we didn't need to look any further. Lexie is thorough and professional and very patient. Nothing was too much trouble and our wedding in our garden went without a hitch. Thanks Lexie, you're a star. xx

Your celebrant should be willing to work with the other professions you have engaged- like the photographer. No matter the hours of work done to write the ceremony – the ceremony itself will last for a half an hour, the photos will last a lifetime- and a good celebrant will understand that and make sure the photographer is aware of the special aspects of your wedding, so they are positioned to take the best possible photos.

You have a close loving family and have strong family ties?  Your celebrant should be able to help you will suggestions to include as many of them in the ceremony, if that is your wish.

Is the celebrant easily assessable to you by phone and email? This is a wonderful, but sometimes stressful time for a couple, and your celebrant should be there for you with their expertise and experience, to help keep you calm and relaxed.
